  1. If he is our only option then there's nothing to regret!
  2. Come on guys. This interview is very funny and he comes across as highly incompetent. If he manages to pull this off though then fair play. Lets not have a go at the bloke if he saves the club. Oh and TNT clearly has an agenda.
  3. It's not very fair when posters are just trying to keep others informed. Some people want all info NOW without realising that confidences could be broken if that happened. I would prefer some info than no info at all but people are rarely grateful.
  4. Sbragia, it should also be stressed, is also having to combat the failed excesses of the latter days of Roy Keane's reign. Too many players not justifying exorbitant price tags, too many players not appearing to care where Sunderland end up. I would never suggest Kenwyne Jones does not care, but it must have been galling for Sunderland fans to hear him suggesting he could be off if they are relegated. Jones might have spared himself this awful dilemma had he threatened to break into something akin to a brisk trot when Sunderland could have saved themselves at West Brom. http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/philmcnulty/2009/05/it_was_once_claimed_the.html
  5. Never got any stick from me. Skacel got stick because people thought he would be better than he turned out to be and looked "lazy" to some for some unknown reason. Beattie was pobably one of our best players of recent time. I love him and hope he can play for us in a few years regardless of what division we are in.
  6. There was another article which basically said he never tried at all against WBA last week. I wouldn't want him playing for my team if I supported Sunderland.
  7. What a disgrace to football this man is. No loyalty whatsoever. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/sunderland/8059012.stm
  8. I reckon Fry is holding out in case other people sort out their problems rather than just accepting the Jackson game. It could be a stupid thing to do but then it could be pretty smart. We'll know at some point.
  9. That's very funny that literature for the British national party includes hardly any british people! Very amusing.
  10. Would rather take a shambolic disaster than no club tbf
  11. Obviously that is silly and a bit annoying but if there is no other way to save the club then he has my full support.
  12. Fry has already been quoted as saying he wants to do a deal with the stadium.(I think)
  13. I've already told you there's no knee-jerking here, you've been doing it for a long time.
  14. Generally people are open to ideas or opposing views to their own. Some People will also put their hands up when whatever side they support does something clearly wrong. Many people don't back any side but take a more balanced view. Especially with regards to politics it is ridiculous for someone to say "I am a Conservative" or "I am labour." and staunchly supporting "their" party through thick and thin. What relevance does what the Tories did over ten years ago have now? Very little in my opinion. I have no idea if they will be any better or worse than Labour. There's no point looking at either parties manifestos because A) They are largely similar and B) The vast majority of the stuff in there is not kept to (I know I read the last ones in detail.) I would always back a party who is generally trying to do their best for this country and who is determined to follow a political path which focuses on the positive rather than the negative. How refreshing it would be to see a Labour MP say "well actually the Tories did a really good job here but I think we could do better in this area and better overall." The reason I find your posts so objectionable on this subject BTF is because your argument seems to be "well the Tories are worse" in every area as if that somehow justifies Labour's actions.
  15. It is impossible to have a proper conversation on this issue with quite a few posters on here. There are clearly too many with an agenda.
  16. Weston also said this: I echo Dubai Phil's reasoning and think he is probably spot on. Lynham & Pinnacle nearly pulled it off and who is to say he will not be able to come back to the table with investors to replace the ones who ran away. He will know more now about the situation and be able to brief the replacements. All we want is a club next season. I am very slightly less anxious than I was a couple of days ago and now await any Administrator announcement with less trepidation.
  17. Yeah but what's really the worst that could happen? People get annoyed on here? Hardly life shattering.
  18. You wouldn't expect him to tell the truth even if he did. He won't even admit to his multiple personas.
  19. Lets call it a wild guess. We'll see wont we. Maybe an announcement today? Would have to be soon I would have thought!
  20. Pinnacle promised money but got a closer look at the books and a couple of their major backers did a runner. This meant that they couldn't keep to their original agreement, giving other parties an opportunity supposedly.
  21. Firstly I don't claim to be remotely ITK. I'm not even clear in my own head what is going on. I don't think that's what is happening at all though.
  22. I love all this takeover stuff. I don't care if people laugh or call me ITK. I do some digging and find out what I can and then try to find out more! It makes it more interesting, gives me some hope about the future of SFC and takes my mind off the potentially dire consequences. Apologies to anyone I irritate through doing it though!
  23. A bad one?
  24. I have no reputation on here so can afford to be reckless! (plus I never actually made a prediction)
