  1. I would like to add Nick to that, especially if he wants to be the FOTB.
  2. Look. They have had a chance to voice concerns or to start something for ages. Did they bother? No nothing. Then as soon as there is a chance that they could get fan ownership and FOTB back on the agenda they jump at the chance, even coercing people like derry who are doing their best for the club to try and make them all unite under the trust banner so that they look like they are representing everyone. Why not just have come on you reds banners around town? No it has to be come on you reds with a big saints Trust logo. Why not have this save our saints concert with the Trust working in the background? No it has to be "in assosciation with the Trust". In my opinion they just want the credit and kudos with a lot of what they do and that's sad because if they just worked in the background for the good of SFC then I would support them. If you want to be sarcastic and try to belittle the very real concerns that people have about the Trust then go ahead but I think most people can see that there are very real issues here and it's one of the reasons that most original members became disillusioned and left.
  3. Why be ridiculous about it? They are very valid and legitimate concerns, especially if they are trying to get involved with running the club.
  4. Derby for me. We played fantastically that day and was nice to get one over on them. Chants of "On the pitch!" were classic.
  5. I don't speak for anyone else but personally I am annoyed that they continue to lie about the amount of members they represent and therefore make themselves sound more important than they are. I am irritated that they have stayed on the sidelines and organised quiz nights whilst the club was going under. It is only now that they decide to do something whilst Nick condemned the previous protests and seemed to imply that it was the fan's fault that we are where we are. I'm also irritated that Nick uses the Trust to voice his own opinions and it then translates to something that "The Trust" said (something that some people could take to mean the opinion of hundreds.) I've probably missed some out as well.
  6. I see that all the time. It isn't Matty though, we went about 80 to catch up and see.
  7. Well whatever but I'm not giving any money unless I am sure it will be used purely to help the club to continue to exist. I urge everyone else to do the same and all this talk of "influence" could potentially be damaging. I'm sick to death of all this and to be perfectly honest if the choice is to continue in league one with no money doing a whip round every year between the fans to keep us going and seeing continued decline or to go under and start again with a clean slate at the bottom I would chooe the latter every time.
  8. Your plan is fine imo except the ambiguity of the influence statement. Just say I decide to give money to help the club and the saints trust use that money to get a fotb next year. Well I wouldn't be pleased because I totally oppose that. If I knew my money was going purely to help the club survive well that's a different story
  9. So any money I donate could potentially fund the trust having a greater influence over the club? No thanks
  10. Who is judging who is a decent individual and what sort of influence are they expecting
  11. Wow now I am really confused. I only support the people who are collecting pledges and money for if the club goes under or if nobody else comes forward. Can someone put a sticky on this site to outline exactly which organisation that is? There's too many groups wanting different things.
  12. No allegedly about it. He PM'd me when I alluded to who he was in December 2007. (even wished me a happy christmas!) I don't think he was trying to oust Lowe though, it was when he was talking about plans etc after he had left the board. (Plans like developing Jackson's Farm etc.)
  13. It's the name that Michael Wilde used to post on here secretly for about 2 years.
  14. FC sometimes you are rather quick to jump on people. Derry has now said that their intentions are for the fans to own the club not as a last resort. Do you support it now?
  15. Then they are fools and I will fight and oppose them all the way.
  16. Crouch says: It cannot be the case that Southampton FC ceases to exist and fans are left saying "If only I knew how serious it was…!" But we don't know how serious it is! Nobody has said how much we need to raise and by what date and where the money will be going. If there was some sort of consistent message then it would be ten times easier to get tings organised.
  17. I just don't understand why The Trust feel it should be done in their name. Do they want the kudos of helping the club? People associate the Trust with having agendas and self interest and for that reason it should be given a different name and kept separate from the Trust.
  18. At least the fans Parliament idea is dead in the water...
  19. But that isn't the choice though. The Trust can be involved by all means if it helps to get funds but why unite under "The Trust" banner when it is obvious that this is going to turn large amounts of people off? It's mostly because people will believe that the people involved from th Trust are doing it for themselves and not for the benefit of the club (I'm honestly not sure I could stomach the trust owning the club myself.)
  20. Fair enough mate your opinion. Technically it wasn't much kop though and nothing special compared to hundreds of people I hear sing. Now paul potts he had a really really good voice
  21. How on earth does anyone other than the administrator know that a deal is not imminent
  22. Would be dead funny if it did happen though.
  23. Bit unfair CB. You're normally a pretty fair chap who I agree with but supposing that no one comes into buy us, won't it be better to get the fans in than cease to exist?
  24. If she had had some training from an early age she could have been a much better prospect. Having said that she's not a patch on professional singers. Just go to most West End shows (in fact go and watch Les Mis to see it done a thousand times better.) Hope she wins though because it is a good story.
