Stupid thread. How can we possibly say before anything has happened? We are still in limbo so it is impossible to say. We are only going to know the answer in about a years time.
No he was asked to support the bid he was supporting but will support any group who takes us forward. I would imagine if the other group were good for the club and they win that he will be happy to support them. Not sure if he knows who they are though?
So basically they want to try and get a quick promotion to the premiership. If this were to fail then their long term future looks uncertain? Bit of a shame that because I really wanted bidders who were in it for the long term.
But nick what if that bid is totally unsuitable or vastly inferior to the MLT bid? I know it's a risk but we only get one shot at this to determine the future of the club.
Thanks Duncan. That's interesting and good to know. Maybe it would be best if takeover talk was suspended for a couple of days on here? I would support that.
No reason why people can't give their feelings about a certain party taking over. I have no desire to know who the people are but I would be very interested to know what respected posters feelings are to them taking control.
Doesn't really matter. If we get taken over and the owners bring him back the I will be dead pleased. Everyone else can moan about how we're wasting money but I'll be hapy about it and that's all that matters to me.
The good news is that the Farmer is a long time poster on here and people know him personally so we know he isn't a saint David or tommac type. In my opinion The Farmer knows some things but has decided not to make it public yet until he is certain of any facts and presumably until the group he knows about has finished due diligence and has moved forward to making an offer.
The email above makes that petty clear.
Sorry that could have been confusing. There are 3 interested parties, one bid and the MLT people have completed due dilligence. Do you know the identities of these interested parties and if so do you have a preference?
