Hey everyone. I'm running the New York Marathon in just over three weeks time for the MS society. It's my first marathon and it's been quite a challenge so far! (I did the clarendon half marathon yesterday which is pretty much uphill all the way.) I've splashed out on some decent running shoes and some expensive running socks which have really made a difference and the socks especially have stopped my feet from hurting after long distances. I've worked out a 20 mile run for myself next week and then I'm winding down and doing little distances often before the big race. It's not about the time for me, it's about getting round and the experience. Does anyone else have any marathon experience? Do they have any words of wisdom or advice to impart? I'm sort of nervous but I'm also really excited. The experience is going to be fantastic.

Nothing to do with Duncan at all. I would be saying exactly the same thing if ANYONE had started this thread.

How am I being a prat? If you start some attention seeking thread for the 2nd time in a year saying the same things and complaining because the people on the forum aren't how you want them to be and then you don't leave anyway then what's the point of this thread.

Nope. That's his relatives.
-
Any update on this intention to leave the forum?
-
His performances. They have been a lot better.

St Jason was advocating illegal activities at games last season so I don't think the powers that be at SMS should pay much attention to his views. Good move Mr Cortese, hope you pursue all your plans in full. -
seriously find a quote because I haven't seen anyone say this. I think that when people have nothing to go on, they will look at some facts such as him being an international and having scored against Juventus. and think that it all sounds promising and odds are he must have something about him. I've seen no one claiming it as fact and FF has failed to show me anyone who has. I see after his attention seeking thread from a few weeks back that he never disappeared from the forum as he said he would. Makes you wonder why he started the thread in the first place.

Another signing needed to really turn us around?

Navyred was the most interesting poster on this forum IMO. Very sad. -
But then it's only in your head that people are calling him a world beater.
-
Has really turned it round. Lets hope it continues.

You mean you won't go to wembley to cheer us on should we reach the final?

Told you cortese was looking at it... -
I was just saying that! Is getting a little irritating.

So that's a 5 million loan plus 15 million needed by October. 20 million already gone and I don't think this 50 mill is going to go very far even if it does materialise...

I would love for Harry to be convicted of something because then there is no chance of him becoming England manager. Without anything he will be guaranteed the job IMO and I will die slightly inside.

And if this were to happen and they were controlled by the premier league then they would be in admin in all but name.
-
Well for a start they could sell off all their players in January and play the youth team.

Does Coretese keep tabs of fans views via this forum?

I attended the fans forum and believe me everyone was happy with it. He actually asked everyone in the room and everyone bar one person put their hands up (something which obviously isn't audible). -
It was always the cheap relatives. Bought us a video between us both and things like that. Really ****ed me off.
-
But how would they? They are looking very likely for relegation and without prem status nobody in their right mind is going to invest in them. Pretty much every other championship club is a better investment than the skates. They will be pretty screwed if they don't start winning soon!

Championship within 2 years and Prem in 5. That's the plan and success or failure will be decided by cortese I'm sure. -

Everyone bar one person said they were happy with the 5 year plan at the fans forum.
