  1. Elephant in the room for me is if foden needs dropping. I've never seen him play well for England and we have Gordon and Palmer chomping at the bit.
  2. Not many (any?) get 60 million for one player sale in the championship...
  3. Isn't it over a 3 year period? Hence why Chelsea could spunk a load of cash and forest? Not saying we should do that but surely it isn't too restrictive first season up. If Downes signs, I can't see us going into the season with Downes and Charles as our only two options for DM. I'd hope to send Charles on loan to the league below and bring in someone new.
  4. I agree but I don't think we can gamble. I wouldn't be surprised if we go for another decent dm in the meantime and then if we get Downes we can bolster the starting 11. Hopefully behind the scenes West ham will be clear about if they are keeping him or not.
  5. Ghoddos Lallana Fraser So that's a decent amount of experience but three average prem players. Good for the squad but after this we need as much quality as we can afford in key positions if we want to stay up.
  6. We are bringing in experience for the squad positions and free transfers will be first because they are currently available. Why don't we wait to see where we spunk our money first.
  7. Glad we are getting in some cheap experience for this league. Should hopefully complement the bigger names to come (hopefully Downes, an attacker and AM for bigger money.)
  8. I have absolutely no idea. He sounds quite average but he's played alright in the prem and Martin can improve players.
  9. Sounds like a useful signing on a free if we go through with it. Should save us some funds for gk, cm, striker, lb and winger which our are main areas we need to strengthen
  10. Not sure you can say that yet based on one game against the hosts.
  11. Scotland Hungary now a big game.
  12. Linked with Saman Ghoddos on a free. I'll be honest I have never heard of him.
  13. Yes but that doesn't mean that with a different setup around different players that they can't be successful (in fact most of them have been.)
  14. Old Jim got his for all the charity marathon running. The rape and necrophilia wasn't factored in.
  15. My dad's best mate was one and offered him an opportunity to join decades ago. Turned it down and glad he did they're wankers. I went to a funeral for one and they had two wakes with only masons allowed to the big one and women excluded. Bunch of oddballs.
  16. And in addition to that, the players we have aren't some non league loggers suddenly promoted to the prem. We have a lot of prem experience within our squad already, many of them now better than Adam. Lallana might be a success for us but the likes of McCarthy - if here - kwp, Bednarek, Stephens, Armstrong etc already knows what it takes to be a success in the prem.
  17. I was talking about the wider fan base. There's clearly still some people who aren't welcoming him with open arms particularly and a sensible pr move on his part would have been to allude to his actions and appear humble. Certainly wouldn't have done him any harm but maybe he will do an interview with Adam Blackmore.
  18. I'm not surprised that Musiala is a bit good.
  19. Doesn't see like he's acknowledged how he left or given any sort of contrition which is a shame. Would have been a good opprtunity to address it for those who still have reservations and move on.
  20. Or because today is the day the window opens?
  21. Now official
  22. That was said last year and he did rather well.
  23. Absolutely well said. The hypocrisy is stunning and it should not be the case that this sort of thing is OK because you don't happen to like the politician. It's not a bit of a laugh it's a serious thing.
  24. Won't be so funny if someone uses acid next. Or someone actually connects with a brick on a politician.
  25. Yes I see your point and I can see the difference, I still think that treating any attacks on politicians and the idea that it's socially acceptable is going to lead to a climate where people think it's an OK thing to do. You're right that there will always be terror attacks of some kind but during an election in particular, any attacks should be cracked down on.
