I don't really blame us for appointing Selles. At that point we were tainted goods and needed someone to manage us. The fuck up was not sacking Ralph in the summer and then giving it to Jones when there was still time to save us.

I'd say it was the best news since relegation. He's a huge reason why supporting saints has been fun again this year. If we do go up he's going to be remembered in the same breath as the likes of Lambert and Fonte for me. A modern day club legend even if he's off next summer.

If you'd asked me last summer, I'd have said he'd be one of the few players I'd want to have kept and I'd also have said we'd have precisely zero chance of him staying with us. We are now going to be keeping him for the season which makes him an absolute legend in my eyes. He's an England quality fullback playing in a league he is miles too good for. In this modern era when it's hard to feel anything for any of our players I really think he deserves recognition for paying the fans back after last year and doing what he maintained he was always happy to do. Good enough to play for England and he's signed up for a year in the second division just to help us out. What a ruddy hero.

Outside of soggy I haven't seen anyone mention tommy Robinson on here and certainly no messages of praise or support. He seems a little obsessed by him. It certainly takes up more of his time than it should thinking about and discussing him. Outside of when soggy brings him up I can't say I've spent more than about five minutes thinking about or discussing him in the last five years. He's a strange person to fixate on.

Personally, I'd like to see us use the Alcaraz money to make the Fraser move permenent then Holgate staying isn't an issue.

Losing both first choice centre backs for an extended period would screw us even if Holgate was here. No one is going to sign for us to be 4th choice cb and possibly not even play.
