  1. They aren't though. We shouldn't be signing someone bang average. The club have been telling us all summer how have been preparing for player sales and they've had months to scope out options for a striker. There's absolutely no excuse for not getting one in who is fit and who can fit our system. Unless Stewart is much closer to fitness than has been reported, It's simply not acceptable if Adams leaves at this point to bring Stewart in and then act like there was no alternative.
  2. So would I but I'd rather not take the risk if we don't have to do so and thankfully those aren't the only two choices.
  3. Which is why we should replace him with someone as decent as possible who can play for us now.
  4. Losing Che at this point and replacing him with someone who is likely not going to match fit and starting games until November is much too big of a risk for a team looking for immediate promotion.
  5. Recovering from injury in a month doesn't mean it's likely that he will be starting games or playing 90 minutes at that point. He will need to be eased into things and learn the system like everyone else. It's much more likely that it would take closer to November and for me that's just too long.
  6. I know it's difficult to tell but I was actually taking the piss.
  7. There is a point if our form takes a dive once Che leaves.
  8. No kwp in any training pictures. I expect him to go but it's still pretty gutting when they actually do.
  9. He also hasn't played since January. It's a huge ask to, learn a new system and fully recover from a horrendous injury.
  10. Fuck off. I wanted Flynn Downes in permanently. Now we have the problem of him walking away, at the end of the season.
  11. Yes. I think I read that he's likely to be back around October which is obviously a problem (maybe match fit by November.)
  12. He isn't about to play against us.
  13. If this is our Adams replacement then this could derail our season given how many vital games we have in the next month or two. Will we even know for sure that his injury hasn't affected his game?
  14. People don't understand hypotheticals...
  15. That's not what was asked though. Go into the season with the squad as it is or buy and sell as usual?
  16. Interesting question in twitter. If you had the choice would you rather keep the rest of the players now but not sign anyone else or buy and sell players as normal. I think I'd go for the first option given the choice.
  17. I think the main thing is if they can play the inverted full back role that Martin wants.
  18. Quite a few mixed messages about which one is better.
  19. Even if true, it wouldn't take a genius to predict that we may sign someone tomorrow. We will definitely have a medical booked between now and Friday.
  20. Probably someone like drameh.
  21. Good enough to be our Che adams replacement?
  22. Only one game though. Is he good enough to be our Rickie Lambert?
  23. I woukd hope that we wouldn't sanction the sale of someone really important like Adams unless we had already secured the replacement. That's normally how these things work.
  24. Luis Duk. Is he any good does anyone know?
  25. Loads of the players live in Winchester anyway
