The players were absolutely shite and didn't follow his instructions. Calling that out post match was the least they deserved.
-
Probably because he walked in the door yesterday?
-
The that just emphasises my point. People are very quick to criticise Perraud being played at CB, but can't name an alternative other than the two who played on Saturday who Martin clearly didn't want to risk unless he had to.
-
I'm pretty sure he did? See his comments re team selection.

Can you become a scientist if you have a degree in chemistry?

Well they won't have long to get then in before Tuesday! I thought they wouldn't have had the last forum with Jones still employed but they did...
-
I hope jwp isn't in attendance to distract. I'd quite like a last minute Shea Charles winner and a chorus of "who the fuck is jwp and the saints go marching on on on."
-
Exactly. Lose on Saturday with the squad down to the bare bones in places and there's going to be real grumblings at the fans forum next week. I really do feel that this is the very worst time to lose some of the positivity from last week. A win on Saturday is so important.
-
It's like driving your new tractor through a field with land mines in when you have the farm show next week. I'd rather keep my new tractor safe in the barn for next week and use my horse and cart even if it does a shitty job because I don't really care about the mined field and I'd really like to win a rosette on Saturday.
-
Probably because if he got injured we woukd be forced to play Lyanco on Saturday. He probably weighed it up and didn't consider it worth the risk.
-
Any suggestions? Bearing in mind that he didn't want to risk a key player in Jack and Bednarek only returned from injury on Saturday.
-
Who would you have played? Only suggestion so far is Simeu which is at best a marginal judgement call given that he's never played for the club before.
-
More likely he said he wanted out.
-
Last seasons championship teams didn't just make 125 million.
-
Seriously why are you taking it seriously? Ffs...
-
We'd be in a much better position if all these players had left weeks ago. Having them all leave at once at the end of the window is the worst position to be in, particularly because other clubs know we are desperate.
-
I agree with you. I would have tried shifting them weeks ago even if it was for slightly less. Had we got rid of kwp and Tino back then we may have had a chance for Aarons.
-
Yep. Just like last summer when loads of people said not to panic and we had lots of striker targets lined up. When it came down to it no one was interested in joining and we ended up with no one. I think we will get players in but will they be good enough for promotion? I'm not sure and I'd go so far as to say probably not. Especially as any replacements won't have had any of our preseason which makes it all a bit pointless really.

Sooner rather than later would have been a month ago.

Our fiabnaces are better than every other team in the division. We should be able to blow the majority out of the water, certainly the ones without parachute payments. I'd be looking at Coventry and Middlesborough for certain. Swansea too.
-
Of course the clubs will resist sling them but we have financialuscle to effectively bully them. The time is now to be ruthless in the market. Fans have done their bit with season ticket sales and support, time for the club to prove their new regime is decent.
-
For me if he'd stayed and got us up then left he would be a legend. As it is he captained us to relegation.
-
100% this. If he goes he's old news and nothing like real legends such as Lambert.
-
I hope he just stays away personally. If you're going to go then feck off and let's some other players hopefully save us. The season has started and this is a distraction we don't need.
-
We really should be looking to buy the best of all the other teams in this division.
