  1. I trust that the bloke who told me knows some of the things going on at the club. It doesn't take mystic Meg to tell us that we are looking to be sold sooner rather than later though. You'd imagine that the most likely time for an announcement would be nearer to the summer once our position in the league is confirmed. Now that most Premier league clubs bigger or conporable in size to us have been sold, there aren't many others in a decent location that someone could buy if they want to break into the prem. I can see why we'd be an attractive proposition.
  2. Totally forgot I posted this. Doesn't look that likely at the moment does it!
  3. True but if we beat Palace then we're still on track for my prediction for these games. Big if obviously. If only we'd beaten Norwich we would be in a great position.
  4. And that's me logging off here for the evening. Pathetic from saints again and exactly as predicted at half time.
  5. Will this be a copy of Wednesday where we are decent in the first half and then let them change things and lose the lead second half?
  6. Although TBF you could apply that to the other side of the political divide in other areas.
  7. Exactly. You don't need a special identity group for the football to be a welcoming and friendly place the majority of the time (and for individuals to be dealt with when it isn't if appropriate.)
  8. Not sure about that. I want an awful lot of abuse at John Westwood when he is in the ground. Some abuse is part of football and rather amusing. Personally I think you deal with any sort of real racist abuse or similar by either reporting the individuals concerned or having a word if you feel able to. I don't think having a "safe space" is going to assist with that and as I said, in my opinion it's more inclusive and progressive to focus on what we all have in common rather than all our various differences.
  9. What's backwards about uniting all supporters of all different stripes because we all support the same team? Nothing backwards about that in the slightest. It would be difficult to be more inclusive to be honest.
  10. People of the lgbtq community who want to do this sort of thing, "allies" and everyone else. Fair enough if it's just a supporters group to find someone to meet up and go to games with but its clearly not just that.
  11. My guess is because without treatment the covid patient will die now whereas with the cancer patient it is probably a slower process.
  12. Players who like money. If I were Newcastle I'd just buy all the best championship players in January and prepare for immediate promotion.
  13. There's always a team like Norwich that gets a few results but they were so far behind that it becomes hard to keep that going. They're still in the relegation zone even after their pretty great run of results and with an awful goal difference it will take something special for them to avoid the drop. With Leeds winning we really need at least a draw tomorrow to keep ourselves above a few other teams.
  14. A draw is a good result for saints all things considered. Would be good for Norwich to start losing again then we'd only have to avoid the last relegation spot.
  15. Well my sister still hasn't had any vaccinations and it pisses me off quite frankly. Her husband is a lovely bloke but he's not the brightest and has filled her head with idiocy. It's depressing but there is a part of me that would like her to get it and be just ill enough that she takes it seriously.
  16. I think you can figure that out.
  17. Where did I ever say that discrimination doesn't happen? You've made that up. It doesn't follow that any initiative to supposedly combat discrimination is a good thing if it is counterproductive. Dividing fans up along the lines of race, gender or sex is not a good thing in my opinion and leads to more division.
  18. Indeed. My wife is half Arabic. She'd be a minority under that definition. Should we have safe spaces at the club for those who are of Arabic descent? Or should we just have no discrimination and everyone be welcomed together by the commonalities we share which is our support for the club?
  19. Why would you need a group to allow you to attend? I've been on my own loads of times (I went to the Villa game on my own for example.) Very unfortunate that trolls on social media are calling you unkind things, sadly this is something that many people of all ethnicities and all walks of life have to suffer once they have a profile. Still not sure why you need a safe space, I'd suggest blocking the idiots and moving on. I hope you get to enjoy more games but I suspect a lot of people won't be interested in identity politics groups that seek to divide fellow fans. I'm happy for saints to be inclusive of all fans.
  20. Absolutely. You can't blame the migrants for attempting to get the best deal they can out of life but let's not try to demonise the state in this instance for trying to prevent dangerous crossings that should never be happening.
  21. Looking at it another way though, surely you want some controversy and more rivalry to boost interest in the women's game?
  22. And saying white supremacist based on nothing at all...
  23. Good Post and well said.
  24. Thanks I needed a laugh.
  25. Yeah so many alt right opinions like opposing guns and applauding the arbery verdict. Definitely aligned with the hard right there just like the hard right rittenhouse jury. Get a grip.
