  4. That means nothing to me. Are any of those players any good?

  6. Are all the schools going to be open 4 days a week or are they going to have a supply teacher every Friday? Acting headteachers once a week?
  7. Annoyingly I've paid to go to a wedding in Greece next year with my wife and daughter which I've just discovered is with Thomas Cook Airlines. Luckily I paid via credit card so should be covered for most of it but its a right pain.
  8. We best not okay a weird load of players out of position on Tuesday. I'm not sure I'll be able to forgive that so easily
  9. I just don't understand Bertrand not playing from the start.
  10. If we at better this half and end up doing OK then the manager has basically lost us this game with his selections.
  11. Is soares now playing on the right with Bertrand left?
  12. Go boil your head soggy.
  13. If I'd been staunchly committed to an ideology that dictated how I should act in certain situations then yes absolutely.
  14. I'm just holding him to the ideologies he's been espousing since he was elected. Every person in the "woke" Community would have called for the leader of the opposition's resignation if he was caught up in this yet they haven't said the same for Justin. It's a clear double standard and the only reason it hasn't happened is because no other videos of blackface had emerged before his ones.
  15. That and his justification for having a 50/50 gender split in his cabinet "because its 2015" also the time he said he preferred using the word "peoplekind" instead of "mankind".
  16. Do you not think he wouldn't be calling for resignations if someone from his opposition had been caught up in this?
  17. Absolutely I agree and I don't think he should be condemned for dressing up at a party 20 years ago or whenever it was. My point is he would be the one leading the charge for resignations and calling others evil racists or far right if this sort of thing had happened to others but now it's happened to him he's suddenly very quiet on those sort of things. I think we should forgive his past transgressions and move on but also note that he wouldn't have done the same if the situation was reversed.
  18. Trudeau isn't racist, he's just a rich bloke who has made a career out of virtue signalling. He'd be the first person calling for a resignation if this had happened to someone else in his government or the opposition so he's also a hypocrite.
  19. Cheers. Still would be good to see some more details on this. The article says that some of the rise is due to greater reporting of incidents but would be good to know what is meant by hate incidents. For example, the working definition of a hate incident in wider society is one where the alleged victim feels something is motivated by hate. This means that in practice literally anything could be a hate incident.
  20. I've got a load of friends who work for the club and they are all going. No problem with it whatsoever, they work hard and it's a perk of the job.
  21. Define "incidents of racism" and "in football".
  22. There are pr*cks on both sides of the political divide. I don't care what the political affiliation is, it's disgusting and shouldn't be happening. You just want go score points for your "side" as usual. Maybe go and start your own thread about the right wing bogeyman you go to bed fearing every night and leave the normal people to the grown up discussions.
  23. This sort of thing is for freaks and morons imo but they are perfectly entitled to do it. Best of luck with it but don't expect me to watch or be invested. The only thing I ever watch from the club pr is the game highlights.
  24. Surely there must be somethibg that someone can do in this case? It's so clearly of no public interest now and the intent was solely to stir up trouble for no reason at all. 99% of people don't want to see the paper get away with something so blatantly offensive. Like Stoke says what the f*ck have his family done to deserve to be front page news over a tragedy from decades ago? It's a disgrace abd it makes me angry thinking about it. My mother had a personal tragedy before I was born that resulted in a dead child and the thought of her having to relive that now is shocking.
  25. Can't see a downside there! I can't see how either the Guardian or the sun could argue there was public interest in their front page or their opinion piece. Just nasty opportunist rubbish with neither displaying a shred or empathy.
