Seems a bit of a waste of time and effort though. If someone truly believes this forum is terrible now then why bother to continue contributing?

It was a suggestion not a command. If thos forum has gone so badly wrong then I don't think going on about how bad it is is going to improve things. Surely better to do what the other enlightened posters have done and leave for pap's new forum?

Nah. People have been saying that for about ten years simply because they look at the past with rose tinted spectacles. What you found humorous many people found grating and irrelevant and tbh I think there has been a fair bit less bickering since some people decided not to lost or got banned. Maybe we have found the source of the issues?

Not necessarily and I doubt it makes much of a difference to the amount of posts on here. It's good if people want to transfer the mapper show to another forum, I doubt it will impact on here much at all. Most of the posters on there only started posting on here over the last few years anyway.

I don't think it's the case that losing a few people has made the site sterile or that there is no debate. It's certainly not anything that you can judge after a couple of weeks. Mostly it's meant that the muppet show is quieter and that there have been less arguments and flare ups. There have been new forums before and there will be new ones in the future.

The two aren't remotely comparable. One site has been going for about a month and the biggest contributions they have had have come from the little group who meets before games and the likes of sadoldgit who ran off in a strop when he got ridiculed on here. Good luck if that's what they want to do but I'm happy enough with this place.

People have been doing that for years. Jan Koller was all over the BBC transfer pages a few years ago and that was started on here.

I disagree he is an average or poor build up player. I've seen many instances this year where he has shown decent build up play.
