Considering a proposal isn't really agreeing to sign is it.
-
Fair enough. I wasn't certain he'd be good enough for them.
-
We should be doing whatever we can to get josh Brownhill by the way assuming he's up for being in the championship again.
-
Bollocks to that! Get the bloke in.

It's all relative. A much higher wage than stoke isn't a high wage for us with our resources. You'd be upgrading the squad and if we gain promotion at minimum you'd have an upgrade on our backup keeper or be pushing another keeper for a starting place and all for a fairly small outlay. It's not like someone is suggesting 15 million on a player we know isn't good enough. We absolutely should be getting in as strong a squad as we can this season without breaking the bank and then looking to upgrade as much as we can to try to stay in the division. Our main problem last summer was that we simply weren't ruthless enough. If we gain promotion then almost all players should be aware that they may be replaced at the very least in the starting eleven with survival being the aim.

It never seemed to bother the likes of David connolly or Tadanari Lee. No one at the moment is going to prefer to stay at stoke over saints given the choice.
-
"come sign for us on much higher wages with a chance of promotion and a chance to fight for your place in the prem".
-
Absolutely we should. Wouldn't cost much either it's a no brainier and then he can be backup keeper next year if we need one.
-
In truth we need alternatives to charles/Downes that isn't Smallbone And we need someone to compete with Fernandes if by some miracle he stays. I would say defence is sorted other than keeper and probably attack up front too so midfield is what we need.
-
Creative midfielder Decent winger with end product Goalkeeper Is what we need after Ramsdale leaves. Plus a CM too once Aribo goes.
-
Firstly that's not confirmed yet and secondly it will still be a substantial amount with a large loan fee that we are pushing for.
-
This. 1000% this. Let the top 20 keepers go to the prem and just sign the 21st best and be done with it. No reason at all that we shouldn't be looking for the best or near the best keeper in this league. Absolutely ridiculous that we'd risk things again by not bringing in the necessary experience in such a key area.
-
In all seriousness, should bednarek and Ramsdale happen that's going to be about £60 million from sales and we are told we are in a much healthier position this time than last relegation and with hefty wages off the bill. I'd like to see us start using some of this financial muscle to strengthen in the key positions in attacking areas.
-
No thanks. A young keeper with potential is the absute last thing we want or need to compete with Bazunu.
-
Please saints just sign a new keeper when Ramsdale goes. Even on loan would be OK. Don't leave us with Bazunu for the season again I don't think I could bear it.

The Starmer Years - Can The New Broom Sweep Clean?

I can't speak for others but I think the Tories in general are absolutely horrendous. It doesn't make Labour and their dumb decisions any better though. -

There's no solution to bringing in more capital gains revenue? -
That's a bit harsh. He barely played in the prem and looked better than many of our players when he did.
-
I don't know. I just get a feeling with him. He was a Martin man, wanted to leave us in January when Juric was here and I just get the impression he isn't particularly fussed about staying. I haven't seen any quotes like THB about putting things right this season. It wouldn't surprise me if he's off.
-
Good point...
-
It is a concern. It's going to be masses in and out again over the next month.
-
I wonder which of our centre backs are going to be leaving? Maybe wood and THB?
-
I don't think that we can let Downes go to someone else in this division. If he's going the it's to the prem or abroad.
-
I do have a bit of a concern about that too. Leicester were miles ahead last time and their great start is basically why they were so far ahead of the pack near the end of the season when they had a little dodgy patch.
-
He looked great yesyerday.
