sounded like Adkins was saying nothing apart from 1) confirming Dr stated he was ill 2) the club is going places and if players want to be part of that they should
-
without Puncheon and Connolly you are hard pushed to find a player who is going to score for us
-
could argue that the current players are all on the bus for a journey and signing more players may not be a good thing
-
Hudds two down
-
Dickson was excellent in midfield at the weekend. Butterfield has played a lot of CCC football in midfield
-
of course, its not good enough.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_2/default.stm 2nd 3 points behind Brighton 7 points and better goal difference over Sheff W in 7th
-
Saints: Davis, Richardson, Jaidi, Fonte, Dickson, Chamberlain, Schneiderlin, Chaplow, Lallana, Guly, Lambert. Subs: Bialkowski, Harding, Butterfield, Seaborne, Gobern, Connolly, Barnard. solent reporting Hammond and Puncheon not fit pretty good squad!!

Bournemouth players called to a meeting at 11 believed to be for Howe's departure. Decision still not made late last nigh but solent understand the decision is where to go not if to go. Steve Fletcher to be caretaker manager, Burnley also still in reckoning
-
could be 3 of top 7 teams without a manager tonight!
-
didn't know he was palace fan. he has done well with bournemouth but was strange (admittedly hard) circumstances and was central to their seige mentality - may take a while at another club where he is not known. Does he leave when he is in demand, or stay where safe and not get another opportunity that isn't too far away. Not likely to get much better offer in south than those two
-
Eddie Howe has texted solent to say he is making a decision tonight. It appears that the decision was whether to stay or go to Charlton - however they understant the previously rejected Palace have come back with another offer. What do you think this decision will mean for us? I feel if he departs Bournemouth they will drop away. He may have positive impact on Charlton so can't help thinking him going to palace would be best news for us tonight. Leaving B'mth trying to find new manager and asst with little money and Charlton looking for a 2nd choice.

So... some think this is the strongest squad in the league and is good enough for promotion - although as its a sport you can't guarantee it. They also think that if Adkins can improve the squad he must, particularly ready for next season. They also think that if Guly / Ox-C / Puncheon go then the squad would have gaps. and some think this current squad is not good enough to get out of this league. some posters have become characters from a role play game, some have difficulty reading and some have chubby fingers. About it I think!
-
lost?? Is that from a role play game you play or something? I'll take it as a compliment.
-
maybe squad player. what do you think chances of getting someone to displace Guly / Lambert and Barnard? Would have either be so good confident that better than them or willing to be a squad forward??
-
he has txt solent saying decisding tonight
-
read that as Barnard and thought bit harsh!
-
Can you remember StuRomsey when he got himself in a muddle, failing to back up his points and realising ever other poster disagreed with him - he invented DaveBenson who came on and posted that he agreed with him(self)! DaveAlpineBenson anyone?
-
so new signings are bad thing?
-
not a court case! No need to feel defensive just because someone asked you to back up an opinion! connolly is often on bench now - not sure how much he can be relied upon. As in my comparison with Brighton still don't think we need another forward. but it maybe a position we can add to, maybe a younger propect. If Puncheon and Ox-C left then that would change the squad - but are here at the moment. Hasn't Lambert suffered from inconsistency already? Are our 5 forwards of higher ability than the 2 or 3 at other clubs more likely to suffer from inconsistency?
-
Think its quite simple. He is confident that he has the ability with the players available to get us promoted. Any manager, at any club in the world would always look at better players if they are available and he thought it would add to the ease with which can achieve the objectives and the long term plan. It is much better to get players in for championship challenge now - get them integrated into the squad and used to winning - maybe actually start a season well!
-
what about the other points in that post? do you still think the same of our squad?
-
because always look to improve and towards Championship
-
Players used as forwards so far this season and currently available for selection: Lambert Barnard Connolly Guly Alex-Ox Lallana Puncheon could probably do a decent job there if rest died!
