  1. naming rights stopped cardiff going into administration
  2. hope this helps; Insolvency and bankruptcy Administration and administrative receivership When a company or partnership gets into financial trouble an administrator or administrative receiver may be appointed. Administration The role of an administrator is to get the company out of trouble and trading again if possible. Administrators can be appointed to a company that is unable, or is likely to become unable, to pay its debts. They can be appointed by any of the following: the courts - on application from a creditor, directors or partners the holder of a qualifying floating charge over the assets of the business the company or its directors An administrator's primary goal is to rescue the company as a going concern. If this isn't possible, the administrator will try to get a better result for the creditors than would be possible if the company was wound up. If neither of these is possible, the administrator will sell the company's property to make at least a partial payment to one or more secured or preferential creditors, such as employees or the bank. Administration can also apply to partnerships. Administrative receivership When a company borrows money, the lender is usually given some security over the company's assets to guarantee payment. If the company fails to keep the terms of the loan or encounters financial difficulties, the lender may be entitled to appoint an administrative receiver. An administrative receiver is an insolvency practitioner who has control of the whole, or a substantial part, of the company's property and wide powers over the business. The administrative receiver is mainly concerned with getting back the money owed to the secured creditor. The administrative receiver may sell the assets piecemeal, or sell the whole business as a going concern to pay off the secured creditor, and the costs of the receivership. Since 15 September 2005 the right to appoint an administrative receiver is generally limited to debenture holders whose charge existed at that date.
  3. my understanding is; the plc holding company is in admin and they need to sell its assets on of those assess is the club - so a single purchase can buy the club, the ground etc are under separate parts of the plc and therefore do not need to be sold to someone buying the club.
  4. pathetic - you were wrong!
  5. in meeting tomorrow so want be able to get to computer to update or read news, wonder where we will be by tea time?

  9. sorry, Dodd is great guy but not one of our great managers;)
  10. that would be good for the fans; likes of MLT, Benali, Claus, Case, Armstrong etc on the pitch at 14.55 to get the crowd going and remind us of better times.
  11. Stanley? protest over?
  12. apologies if this is elsewhere but only have few mins and not time to go through other threads; understanding is at 10.00 tomorrow plc will go into administration and Lowe will resign. There is a target of 21 (think it was maybe 25) days for investment and 2 interested parties. Football League will meet on Tuesday to decide whether we do in fact escape points deduction. Again, sorry if already on here. or infact inaccurrate but no reason not to believe them as 100% right in past on these issues
  13. we know a fraction of what's going on, discussion in board room, bank, what Lowe has agreed with FA etc - and I guess whether any of us no a fraction of what Lowe (together with his advisors) know about structuring a plc. I am sure he doesn't think its going great, but equally wouldn't be surprised if he has a plan to stay here long term
  14. no - he's a skate, any other ideas?
  15. Euell has had a fair few misses - but as you say not main problem
  16. Players eligible for this award are those in the second year of their apprentice (i.e are in their 'Under 18' year and registered as either a second year scholar or as a first year professional). Judges looked at the record of the player in all competitions since he became an apprentice alongside his educational attainment, disciplinary record and any other outstanding achievements.
  17. Ross Jenkins (Watford) and Shaun Scannell (Palace) - Scannell won.
  18. surprised not been on OS!
  19. Name: Oscar Gobern Age: 18 Club: Southampton Nationality: English Position: Midfielder An attacking midfielder who loves to run at defenders and the latest product of Southampton’s much-lauded academy system. The Birmingham-born midfielder has had a baptism of fire at St Mary’s where he has found himself playing in a very inexperienced team at the wrong end of the Championship table. However, his debut for Saints couldn’t have gone much better. Coming on as a half time substitute with his side two down at Preston, Gobern inspired a great comeback. Having a hand in two of Southampton’s goals as they came back to record a three two victory. He has gone on to make a handful more appearances for the club and while things may look bleak for them the future looks bright for Oscar.
  20. Reported in Croyden paper http://www.thisiscroydontoday.co.uk/palacelatest/Exclusive-Scowy-s-Saints/article-861484-detail/article.html
  21. In CCC awards this week, Oscar Gobern was in the top 3 for the award for top apprentices in the CCC.
  22. he makes saints web forum look itk! As a pundit he is a cracking left back.
  23. think solent put it at £2.5m, but suppose as others have said its worth what people will sell for and buy for - can't see major shareholdings selling at today's rate.
  24. I heard that, started sounded like they had some news, talk of board meetings and administration etc on intro - when they got to the bit in the actual sports news -there was no news at all -except share price has dropped.
