  2. I think the club would have a fair idea if he was going (subject to sudden last minute big bid), would know that him going would hit team hard and be unpopular -so don't think even they would make him club capt as well! I know few days left but I posted that thought it may not be as bad as some were predicting, but so far none sold and decent CB in! Fingers crossed as we hardly strength in depth!
  3. To be honest mate -I don't think he cares about the protests. He is so arrogant he will still think he is right and "you poor people just don't know the facts"
  4. just been trying to research the rules on this on google without success! Anyone from financial background know if there is a legal responsibilty to curb spending prior to potential administration?
  5. maybe worth watching one of his games before writing him off?
  6. would have thought if he was going anytime soon it would have been last week, think he is here for the long haul -unless someone comes up with a lot of money
  7. ....
  8. My first though was signing 3 players so far this window, and none departing suggests administration is not very close. As well as looking at this dutch forward who I wouldn't think would be cheap. Would a plc be allowed to do this just prior to admisistration? Although think administration means a bar on new signings -so is it a case of getting them in when you can? Wotte's comments re signings from OS; Saints boss Mark Wotte confirmed that he is still on the look-out for players before the end of the transfer window but will not panic buy… The new Head Coach already has the advantage of knowing his squad's strengths and weaknesses, but has spoken of a need to be both 'careful' and 'creative' in any transfer dealings. With finances tight Wotte insisted that he will not bolster his squad unnecessarily, nor has he ruled out the possibility of making loan signings after the close of the transfer window. "I don't want anyone who isn't better than the players we have," Wotte said. "It's no use bringing someone in just because the window is open. We can always bring someone in on loan afterwards. "If I bring in a player from abroad it has to be someone who has proven his quality and had played at a certain level. Jan-Paul Saeijs was not a risky signing because we know him very well. "It's always a risk to bring in someone so late in the season, so if we do that it has to be someone who has specific qualities, but we are looking for such a player." Recent speculation had linked Southampton with a move for Dutch striker Romano Denneboom from former England boss Steve McLaren's current side FC Twente. However, Wotte has now confirmed that the player's situation has now changed. "We spoke with Romano Denneboom from FC Twente and we were told at one time that he could leave the club," Wotte explained. "Steve McLaren then decided he had to stay and this week he scored twice for Twente in a Cup game, so there was no point in asking again if he is available. "This was a player that I knew as well myself. I worked with him with the Under-21 national team in Holland and at a club in the Dutch Premier League. A player like that could help us, but we are shopping with pennies not millions and it's not easy to bring in quality. "We will try to keep our eyes and ears open and be creative though, but they have to be better than what we already have."

  10. perhaps if they lose saturday without him they will get desperate!
  11. hilarious, should expect a back lash? death threats, two attacks on family home. you have the perspective of a stroppy kid so don't think will take your advice. This is a funny thread, and to laugh make jokes about it is one thing, but to actually think it is funny that it happened and saying they should expect it is condoning it. Its a f ing game, entertainment, grow up
  12. no don't think he should do that either
  13. still don't see your logic. Will judge more on Saturday!
  14. its not a view its trolling
  15. his main function was academy head, not knowing Jan don't know how much influence he was able to exert. Not seen enough to say he isn't his own man yet.
  16. what makes you think that?
  17. signed on high wages, promised promotion push, put out on loan last season not surprising, would have liked him to stay but do wonder if his performances are in proportion to his relative wages.
  18. Dyer Move May Cost £750k By Rob Davies - 29/01/2009 17:35 Swansea will have to break their transfer record - paid for Ashley Williams from Stockport County - if they want to make Southampton man Nathan Dyer a permanent fixture at the Liberty Stadium. The Evening Post report that Dyer may cost £500k but the fee could rise to £750k which would eclipse the previous record broken paid to County. Swans manager Roberto Martinez is thought to be keen on making the winger a permanent player at the club before the January transfer window closes on Monday. And you can understand why after the performances that the pint sized midfielder has produced, with an assist and a goal already since agreeing a loan move from the St. Mary's Stadium. Should he continue that standard of performance, there will undoubtedly be bigger clubs in the chase for Dyer, who could compete at a higher level financially than what the Swans can afford. The 21 year old winger won't be eligible to feature against his parent club, unless the staff at the Liberty Stadium can strike a deal with the Saints prior to Saturday's fixture, which looks unlikely at this stage.

    A question

don't think there is anything wrong with people openly backing Crouch, if they are fans and/or know him why not express their views? Difference is Lowe apparently employed people to pretend they held a view to influence others. By what do I know I am just a luvvie
