think most people were not stressed or having a go just after clarification. Just comes down to how important things like this are to fans and why they grab hold of them. People want to know whether things are really happening or just gossip (even of gossip is from ex players etc). Think the initial poster either meant he was talking to MLT and MLT said he had heard it from the horses mouth, or was a bit unclear of the meaning of horses mouth (and nothing wrong in that!) thinking it meant people close to info or included second hand info. the phrase means more than hearing from close sources / inner sanctum of ITK people it means directly and personally heard from the person it refers to and who knows it for a fact. Poster was passing on info in good faith and there is no need to have a go -but equally, as it was a bit confusing, shouldn't mind people trying to clarify it.

it does change a bit of the perspective, if someone posted 1) I spoke to AS and he said ...e.g. the person quoting has it from the horses mouth or 2) I spoke to a mate, whose sister works with a girl who said that her dad told her that a guy he works with met someone who was talking to AS and he was told...etc -person posting cannot say its from the horses mouth If you say your info is from the horse mouth it would mean you heard him say it, Perhaps you meant LeTiss told me that he had heard directly from AS (horse's mouth) Sorry to sound pedantic just sounded like you were saying had spoken to both AS and MLT about it and it was confusing

not saying he wasn't blameworthy but its not as simple as that -just as I am sure you wouldn't have said that Lowe should have had all the credit when we stayed up (bigger clubs going down each year) nor for getting us to the cup final?

think the main thing that people wanted clearing up was the horses mouth bit. I thought you meant the same as some others -Shearer will take the job -horses mouth must mean you heard it from Shearer. Do you mean MLT said he heard it from the horses mouth? Also, I know it maybe hard to remember exactly how it was said -but do you remember whether it was an "if" or "when" MLT said?

bottom line is we can only really go on gut feelings as we don't get the full picture. Unfortunately both give of bad impressions!

I have a lot of sympathy with linesmen over offside -its almost impossible at times to watch both ball and player. Several times I have ranted about wrong decisions only to get home and see replays and I have been wrong..but....that was so F*ing obvious -how was it missed?!

saw it several times with sky's replays and not how I remember it - but was watching on big screen not brill picture! Will watch it again later -really thought he was skidding along ground -ankle height at most (not saying that makes it ok!)

not surprised at red, but equally another day/ref could have been yellow. Poor tackle but clearly badly mistimed rather than going for the ball and my recollection was different from someone above -I thought he slid in two footed (clearly wrongly) but along the ground not knee height?

struggle with numbers as well? play off teams have 7 points. we have 3. 3 for a win if we win, and notice I didn't predict it just showed the range from defeat to victory, we will have 6 points. That is 1 point off play off position. So I was right, hope you understand now

hardly trolling -quoting more like! as said earlier, if you don't want these ridiculous comments keep coming back to make you look silly think before you type! As someone else recommended to you, you could improve your communication skills by explaining that you mean..you think, you suspect or you are concerned etc -rather than stating your random thoughts as fact. I think you are the only person who thinks you know more about Svensson condition than he does! And the business plan..? Take it you meant you are concerned that it might have holes in it?

and adding to saying Svensson is a liar Alpine now adds, that due to his more in depth knowledge of the injury, Alpine says Svensson is in denial!! You couldn't make it up (well alpine could!) Thought he peaked when said he knew more about how team was playing than those who had seen them!

Everyone else is saying his knee is still not right, he had a poor game against Blackpool, he can't be relied upon to be fit all season etc You are the one saying he is lying about his condition and is a cripple! JP has said he hopes he will play the midweek game -if that is the case he would not have missed any extra games as that would have been a rest game for him. We don't know, so unless we want to call Svensson a liar why not just accept him at his word that he has not been in agony after games and the knee is a bit tight and due to the problems needs checking out?
