if you slag off every player, every manager, predict defeat every game etc you will have a fair success rate! Doesn't mean opinions are based on considered views! I don't know we won't get relegated, I don't say anyone who does say it is being ridiculous, but I don't think we will. It is a fact to say that most comments from the two league games from those who went are more positive, I accept not all -never said all nor meant to imply it. But vast vast majority. That is not saying we are saying promotion here we come -no-one is saying that. But how can you possibly say players are lightweight and not up to it when nearly every review of him (you know the 6ft midfielder) is saying how well he is doing -when you have never ever seen him kick a ball (and wrongly assumed cos he was young he was little!). And to have the total arrogance, not to imply but to actually say you know more about how the team is doing than those who have seen them play for 6 odd hours.

I am not sure, I don't think we will. He is not expressing an opinion like me -I am commenting on what I have seen positives and negatives, he is saying things like Schniederlin is too lightweight, basically making things up to dig at the team and club

I agree with the disappointment and a lot of your points but

independent view of first half performance Alec McLeish - says we were easily the best side -radio 5 interview, I know game of two halves, we have lost both games etc but not saying we will come good and win league, just already seen better play than last year to suggest to me we will do comfortably better. Yes it is worrying, and can understand if people have only seen results and sales it would be more worrying - but note the posts from those who have seen the games. Particularly the thread for reports only from Cardiff -in the main said we did well. Even I didn't expect much if anything from first three games!

sorry mate, you have got his rating wrong -he is light weight - I know I thought he is stong, physical and skillful as well, but Alpine has corrected us and said that he is lightweight and his view is more relevant than those of us who have seen him play

I was very impressed with the football, energy and team work in the first half. Birmingham were on top in the second -nearly very different when went very close to scoring only for them to immediately score and gain momentum. The fact is, this team will easily be promoted (them not us!) and they could not deal with us in the first half. The difference is that they had more quality than any other team in division to counter our play in the second half. Most will not be able to react like that. I saw enough to suggest we will be mid table.
