just seen other thanks, didn't mean to defend club for messing someone around -thought that was covered by sorry you were messed around?! Will answer more fully later, but I get really fed up when we lose or lose a player I like. I have been going now for over 30 years so seen ups and downs. Part of my responses are defending my club (be it Lowe, Wilde, Crouch, GB, JP, NP etc) when I feel criticisms are based on us not knowing all details or fans being unrealistic in expectations. Also feel there are many on here who are just looking for any opportunity to moan -there are plenty so why look for extra ones -even digs on this thread when its actually potentially good news. I remember this is a hobby/passion for me - I am not on the board but a fan.

very good point and why we should not be adverse to an overhaul this season. That "expensive" side, performing like that, would have been thrashed by the lightweight youths and Lowe signings and cheap options playing like they did on Saturday.

no manager works alone on signings. Scouts etc have always identified players. Lee Hoos did all the talking with players and agents, finances etc. Things aren't suddenly different here

can't imagine we would have done much better with players and situation with another manager at the moment, more than happy to give JP decent chance. 50 mins against Birmingham showed potential and more drive than other managers have generally got from "better" players over the last few years.

Saga lost his confidence last season, you could see it when he had goal chances he would rush or pass -almost wanting to be seen to be trying to score but hoping chance didn't fall to him for fear of failing. If he gets his confidence back he could be excellent for us again. Maybe loan period will do that.

There has always been talk, from the day JP joined us, that he may bring in new players up until on radio the other day. This club has a long history of losing our "big" players but often have replaced with cheaper but better options -lets hope this happens again. Remember fans being fed up when Dean Richards left us - to be replaced by Svensson. It can happen the other way around I know! We haven't been told the exact financial situation so can't be lied to. Davies left due to him wanting to go to the premiership -understandably -so probably his salary saving and fee is a bonus.

looking like getting best football for a couple of years with lowest playing budget - don't think the manager is the problem!

comfortably the best side for about 50 mins against best side in division on Saturday -then even for a bit before they came through on top -this is not about a few minutes of flash football but real quality starting to show

my view is based on the Birmingham game -we were so easily on top for half the game but they were the better team in the second half -the reason I don;t think this will happen regularly is that no other team in the division will be able to bring on players such as they did -no-where near.
