I haven't seen or heard a quote suggesting John will go?
-
it is far too early to write off the season. We came closer to a result at Cardiff and did better in the cup -already holding up to last year not the disaster yet some predicted. The way Stern J is being talked about -and played in first available game -suggests he is part of the plans. There is no way any of us expected to keep both Rasiak and John, and potentially the current forwards are better for the team as a whole. Squad is stronger than this time last year. How many plans does a club need? Pay what you can afford, get the best players you can afford and motivate them. Really don't know what others want or expect?

wes if we had scored another one at Cardiff and they hadn't we would have won
-
believe Wooton has played more games at CB
-
agree it is too early to know, but I am liking everything I see and hear about him so far, very pleasantly surprised. Think we will do much better under him than we would have done under GB or NP in similar circumstances - so hope he proves me right. Really excited about Saturday - which is a start!

http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/?page_id=10442 bizarre publicity for player not playing again??!! poor info imho
-
why would he expect anything other than a pay-per-game contract if the knee was still bad? This info doesn't add up imho
-
some of the players touted (not all) will be sold for the right offer and if we agree terms. This may release some of the money saved for loans. If, by the end of the transfer window, they are still with us, then they will be re-integrated into the first team squad to play for their places.
-
bet Birmingham would have preferred a lot of other draws
-
JP has not ruled any out. My theory is that if any of the big names are sold then that will release money, if not we will start to see them played
-
has Lowe said he wants to sell him then? or is this another post similar to the Wilde not at Exeter one?
-
This is a sound post. Just as you can't assume a young player will be full of energy etc you can't assume an older player will have a stronger character. It's ridiculous for instance to say Schneiderlin is lightweight as he is 18, physically he is big for a midfielder and character we don't know yet. There are clear examples of young players doing well in the premiership and internationally. A premiership all stars under 25 team would still be class. It is about how good players are. For example I predict that James will have a better season at RB than Wright (or Jesus by a mile). I think that Lallana, Holmes, Gillet and Schneiderlin will be better than Viafara by a distance, whether they will be better than Euell, Safri, Skacel etc remains to be seen. Its funny how the press seem to think we have got rid of stars and yet if you read our comments on the same players over the last season could they have done much worse?

Well done for apologising, it was needed. Unfortunately it is common on here to launch into criticism without any facts. Its quite right to criticise players under performing etc but to moan about finances / contracts without the facts or knowing what is going on, or to moan about who is behind the signings of players or to moan about players you haven't seen etc, has got OTT recently. Hopefully people will think before starting rants.

anyone post a link please?
-
in the radio preview at about 6.30 they said that Saints are taking the cup seriously, with a strong team and Lowe being entertained by Exeter???
-
No! and not looking for baiting just honest football talk! forum seems better!
-
please don't quote that nonsense he is on my ignore list!
-
Schneiderlin is playing CB tonight, with wooton in midfield. So maybe no Thomas as JP wanted to see how youngster faired in different position. Thomas would therefore not come into contention
-
is there any substance that anything is happening?
-
if that training gear plan spreads and he is in starting 11 then I will understand those staying away because of him rather than just thinking its either excuse or sulking!
-
is there anything to say they are?
-
why cut off your nose etc? I would never let who is in a boardroom effect whether I go to a game of not. I pay to see the players not the directors box
-
personally think its a bit pathetic to hate someone you have not met just because his policy on managers and signings is different to you. Not warmed to him and in different is as far as I would go.
