why is it, both after this game and the Cardiff game, the posters who see the games are more positive than those who moan without seeing the players they slag off?

can't be bothered to write a review but having seen us play worrying no points to start building confidence but that side will be comfortable mid table. Thought Surman struggled defensively when under pressure 2nd half.

worrying thing to me is that he isn't name you would expect to be linked -injured CB with limited first team games.

23 decent games in CCC will for player who has already played in premiership will not push his fee up. Not knocking him but if we can get him from premiership side for £1m teams will expect to pay the same to a CCC team desperate for cash -we will do well to better what we paid

seen one old report saying around £1m, he has not really done much to justify big increase in fee so can't see us getting much more

not normally one to stick up for you, but you maybe doing yourself a dis-service here. Your initial post, although typically bleak was posing a question -it was others on here who spouted rubbish saying he was out -and I think this is what the poster is referring to -the total made up rubbish on here once again.

where has it ever been said that John and Rasiak are going? It seems most have always been saying that one of them should go, as most on here agreed we cannot play both or afford to have a player such as them on the bench. One clearly needs to go, I will be surprised and disappointed if both go. Remember the predictions for the max exodus over the close season and not one new player in? Hardly any of the players people wanted to stay have gone and there have been a couple of decent signings. There is no need to lean towards this total doom as it is proving not that bad.

I am left feeling that we have fallen for a wind up again! I honestly don't believe that any saints fan can slag off some many players and things about the club and believe all is bad - without any firm information, making up assumptions as facts and totally lacking understanding or logic. I accept there are a range of views as to how well this will work out but this Schneidlerling is lightwieght and lacking character, DMG is poor etc is getting silly. BUT one poster has, looking at it positively acted as a catalyst for over 100 posts mainly of solidarity and understanding of our position, or negatively winding us all up. I don't think he can believe it himself (as falls when asked for alternatives or facts) but is winding us up. Although on my ignore I find myself dragged into this!

fair point. We could all agree that we would be more likely to be promoted with Andy Johnson or BT etc up front -but it ain't going to happen. Equally we are not able to keep Saga and Rasiak -but we have one of the top scorers in last years league left as well as good younger players -watching DMG a few years ago I was struck with the confidence he had -he knew he would score however he played. I saw more physical and mental commitment in the West Ham friendly, from these "lightweight (6ft?!) young players than I did in nearly any game for the last two years.

you can put several of your assets in the shop window but when you have realised the savings you need you no longer need, nor want to sell the others. Personally I suspect the desire is to keep him and if Rasiak does go then the desire will be stronger. Will be very surprised if both go this window.
