Assuming that this post is serious I will reply as if it is. I have read a lot of your posts over time and I have observed also Adkins performance and as importantly the way he handled himself over a period of time [starting with his delay in signing to protect the interests of his previous employer] I know where my respect goes... Your comment that "thank goodness his reign was brought to an abrupt halt" I think reflects poorly on you. You are entitled to an opinion on his performance etc. but please do not forget the great part he played in our return to the premiership. In my opinion Adkins has not found his level and in a different situation I still think he has a lot to offer. I don't think any one was a sucker for thinking him to be very good. From my part I did think he was a decent manager, but maybe in this day and age wrongly, I think as importantly he was a decent man. If there were any "suckers" around, and that is not how I would word it, they were the people that bought into the Cortese regime while he [admittedly bringing some success] was slowly killing the spirit and History of our club. Thank goodness we now have it back

Let us all know when you are coming again as I will definitely get a ticket for that game. I reckon if we get to Wembley this year we should all have a whip around on the forum to get you there! Very pleased you had such a great day makes me proud of our club again. Until next time............................

Redknapp is a total Joke and his position is getting pretty untenable I would say. Clearly the Chairman making his statement is clearly pointing the finger at Redknapp as it was him that made the whole situation public. In recent days I have heard Redknapp say that no one could do a better job than him. Of course its good to have a confident opinion of your self but he is clearly deluded. Also has he got no shame. He was saying recently that he doesn't need the job as he's got enough money to not have to worry about his next meal. In that case as his chairman is clearly not impressed with him and surely he must see he is past his sell by date, why is he staying. If he had an ounce of dignity he would resign. Any way Hoddle will be their manager by the end of November.....................

Now is the time to say show our sincere gratitude

I have loved the way we have totally dominated some teams this season. Obviously today but also Newcastle and west ham. Have we been lucky that these teams just gave totally inept displays and let us win. I do not think so. I am almost certainly caught up in the brilliant start to the season but could 5 th be possible. Could we end up above Spurs. Surely not but if we carry on like this and Rodrigues to come back. Let me predict that by the end of the season everyone will see why we bought Long because we started to see why today. -
To Pochettino to Lallana to Lovren to Lambert to Chambers to Shaw for leaving because by doing so they have enabled us to make another big step forward. We would never have won a game like this 8 nil with them in the team in a million years. Fantastic

Summary: Ronald Koeman's pre-QPR press conference

Does anyone else think Koeman sounds like steve Mcclaren -
Very interesting watching Redknapp on this video. His body language does him no favours and says it all. Obviously I am biased but some of the words that came to my mind watching him were Tired, bored, [sparked nearly to life for almost a second when the golf was mentioned] Aloof to the modern world, Dinosauresq, fat, sleepy, slightly sly, etc. I then tried watching it with a view to being impartial to see if I could get any positive impressions from him [unencumbered by what I know of the disappointing person that he is] but couldn't see not even one thing that could in any way bee seen as attractive or likeable. Even his sluggish attempts at Bonhomie with the journalist you could see was less genuine than the warmth in a dead stinking snake. If we lose on Saturday I will have to leave early so the smugness exuding from him doesn't stick me to my seat.

Mane was even slower going off but was not booked.

On way back. Amazing game. The goal from Clyne was absolutely stunning. Arsenal to be fair were a bit scarey but we played really well. Better team and better football even than last season. Looking forward to seeing more of mane. He's going to put the fear up some defences. Looks like he has a whole bag of tricks. Roll on Saturday. Something special happening again. Unreal

Unfortunately as I have bet £20 with an Arsenal supporter wind up merchant we will lose at least 3 nil.

You mentioning fritesaus reminded me of a time In my life I used to love fritters, used to make so many different types. Cauliflower fritters, Cheesey fritters, pineapple fritters, spam fritters, until one day I stopped as I felt I was frittering my life away.......any way back to the thread. -
beautiful post Becks

I wasn't counting but there were 2 or 3 periods of play v West Ham where we had similar periods of play. Definitely the Koerman effect. I am not saying I did not enjoy how we played last season but am enjoying it more at the moment. The most exciting thing is that last season we lost our way when we had a few key injuries, ie. Wanyama and Boruc . I don't see this causing the same problems this season so could see us on more points than last season with the options we have in the squad now. Its great watching how players can see 2 or 3 options around them when it comes to the final pass. I wonder when the pundits will start realising whats happening down here at the moment.

Listened to Pardew on the way home saying something about the supporters getting on the teams but mainly his back, from early on and that it want helpful. Blaming the fans that had travelled how many hundred miles is it. What a totally class less cnunt.

Don't spoil my dream. I sort of imagine the whole crowd swaying side to side holding flowers, then we can through them on the pitch at the end. We could get known for it like the Man City thing where they turn there backs.............................

I too think he will be a very special player. He is definitely benefiting from staying with us as he needs to be playing and at this stage in his development and this would not be guaranteed at a bigger club. I see him as a set piece specialist. I also seeing him as developing into a very effective play maker. Probably not unlike Beckam in some ways. I really think he could become better than him though. Noticed at West Ham he was playing some very clever little passes in the last third and wasn't far off scoring on a couple of occasions.

I see Long as a very good squad player. I know the transfer cost was high and I am not saying he is worth 12 million in comparison to some other strikers at that price but to me that is irrelevant. He gives us something different. His attitude is always spot on and he just keeps going. I love his aggression and mark my words, he will score some important goals for us over a season. I think he can be easily under estimated but he will be an important player for us in the next few years. He makes us a better team.

If Gaston has gone that is a shame. You watch he will show what we will miss in the coming Months.

Before we had a tyrannical egotistic one man band running the club. Taking it down an unsustainable blind alley and who while I am sure looking after him self, almost single handed lay caused the issues that occurred this summer. We are now on a new path and while I am sure the set up needs some tweeking I am confident that the management is running our club with its long term future and success very much more at the heart of there actions. The way we played yesterday, so early in the new set up gives me more true hope than the false hope of the last regime.
