  1. -1 point per million owed at CVA min -10.
  2. I think it is only as a continuation club that they can access a top non league position, otherwise it would be the highest league with vacancies that would accept an application.
  3. At that time he was, apart from a good touch pretty poor and he could have failed at that point but the Norwich game that season was the turning point. He made an obvious effort and was much more effective settleing in on the left side. He was at a cross roads and could easily without the personal effort he put in have slipped backwards, something that has happened to thousands of talented youngsters. I made that point at the time. Obviously reading and understanding doesn't come easily.
  4. Well, he did get his act together and is now a much better player and IMO a very good player in the left midfield position that seems to be his most productive,
  5. Is it true, they won the family award because they are all related.

To be fair, he was quick, and he showed good skill and awareness, good run for the first from deep into the goal area to finish, quick as a flash to nick the ball off the goalkeeper and a quality glancing header for the third.

Three well taken goals, good running, looked good.
  8. Of course he was, not giving the early pass puts his run through the channel offside even if he checks back onside and the ball is delivered, as soon as he is active he is offside.
  9. You might be able to have a majority but I bet none of you played in the same Saints team as Mick Channon. Canada Saint has and was there today. I agree with him but then I know nothing about submarines.
  10. I was talking to a relation of my wife's in the summer. He is a Maj Gen, ex SAS commander of special forces under Patreus in Iraq, just turned down the offer of a divisional command in US. Under his last command was the unmanned aircraft in Afghanistan. His view was that it was an unwinnable situation. There is a season and a lot of the opposition on the ground just come in for the season, then if they aren't killed go home and next season another lot come in. Corruption is endemic and the Taliban will take over when the occupation ends.
  11. First match mid fifties, can still see Eric Day take the ball down on his instep from ball hit over his left shoulder, John Hoskins going down the left lifting the ball over the full back and running off the pitch behind him and shooting into the chocolate boxes. Found out I could get in free into the West Stand for 80 mins by selling penny on the ball tickets. Ian White got me into coaching after a broken leg in the sixties.
  12. Tri Stars and VC10s bloody near half a century old, no wonder they don't work too well. It's the useless antiquated equipment sacrificed on the back of the dogma of billions of misused overseas aid.
  13. They can only take a max no on loan and play them. 5?
  14. Already in.
  15. Maybe a bit of positive discrimination for the creditors is more to the point. Don't expect morality from yet another moronic MP.
  16. We created some good chances early on but made bad decisions and they went begging, the worst Guly not hitting the target with a header from a yard out. Lallana and Lee worked openings but we needed Lambert to make the effort to get into the box, it was always the wrong player on the end of things. The centre of midfield was again where we weren't at the races. The less said about Hammond the better. Schneiderlin is a keep possession player whose whole game is based on just passing, sideways, backwards it doesn't matter to him. A lot of his sideways and backwards passes just inevitably end up back with Davis. We need a proper playmaker like Noble of West Ham who is combative but hits passes into dangerous areas as a first option. When Schneiderlin has the ball it mostly goes short and ends in nothing. For me he is a wasted talent that is far too conservative. The full backs were both poor but Harding was awful in the second half, he plays like he has a brick for a brain. The centre of the defence was OK but Davis when not acting as a superlative shotstopper drives me mad. He has a good long ball but his short game is atrocious so we aren't playing out from the back. Yesterday he had numerous opportunities to one touch passes to obvious unmarked colleagues but just dwelled on the ball taking multiple touches whilst dithering allowing the options to be closed down but still passing to a player who is then pressured and passes back to him to then clear anywhere under pressure. If he isn't going to first time release the ball he should play long without the pressure, rather than delay and invite the hasty clearance that usually gives the ball away. It was crying out for SDR to be brought on and luckily again feeding off scraps he laid on two clear chances one converted. If DeRidder is playing, Richardson has to just give him the ball and support inside unless SDR comes inside and leaves the opening for an overlap, running in front of him is just taking up the space he needs to run into. DeRidder needs a playmaker to play the balls into space for him to exploit we are just wasting him if don't use him properly. Jos had Scotland penned against the touchline then firstly let him turn, then didn't force him down the line, letting him come inside was suicide after Schneiderlin slipped, the deflection summed up the evening for me, wasted chances and a bit of bad luck after sloppy defending. The tempo was low and we need to pressurise harder higher up the pitch, I got the impression that some players were caught out with the complacency of a routine collection of a win bonus. It won't happen without the effort. Sharp doesn't look the part yet, he looks very chunky to me but maybe that's his shape.
  17. TB says £14m still to come with football debts £7m to £10m. The parachute payments are held by the FA and paid directly to the football debtors, so the football creditors rule judgement is critical. If that is overturned then the parachute payments would go into the pot, but as there is none due until 2013, that wouldn't apply if they are liquidated..
  18. We are guaranteed the money as we are a football creditor. Probably already been paid for the previous debt out of the parachute payments. If the law changes then it could be interesting, I can see NC demanding payment before access.
  19. Much more sensible, but still flying on the day would cause reactions in passengers. At least we won.
  20. I like DeRidder, he has been a little unlucky because he has either played in a reserve team or mostly when we weren't playing well. He certainly made a massive difference after coming on at half time when we were losing against Hull.
  21. Jesus H Christ, they must be bloody daft, they would be better hitch hiking. Bloody noisy uncomfortable heaps. I thought it would be a Flybe Q400 at the worst.
  22. Harding is the natural stand in for Fox. As such he will give his all, with Dickson at Orient, he is our best left back until Fox is fit. He didn't do too badly at Leeds when their wide players were pushing up the touchlines. My biggest criticism of him, he doesn't check his six often enough and gets blindsided.
  23. I am told Adkins never saw him play before he was brought in. I don't think he will get in before DeRidder etc. In any event Chaplow on the left, Guly on the right has worked this season. Puncheon like Lallana is best on his wrong side and has never been that effective wide left.
