They brought in Gordon Brown from Derby, he was awful. Brian Clifton was brought in from the reserves, brilliant in the air and very solid on the ground but for some reason Ted didn't rate him. What a goal that was, I think he scored a few on the run in. Tall, strong, became a centre back and was captain at Grimsby for years. We've let some good players go through the years. I think we are easily the best team in the league at home and it will take an exceptional performance to win here on Friday, WHU and Birmingham struggled, we have lost once in 15 games as have Reading. Their dead ball specialist Harte has won a lot of their games either scoring or delivering, they are no great shakes from play and I bet they won't be all out attacking on Friday. Crosswinds no problem. Started in Channel Islands, LBA, ABZ much worse than BHX. F27 was the worst a/c in a crosswind, poor rudder and a non steerable nosewheel, differential braking with pneumatic brakes needed to keep straight. Landed 737-400 and 757/767 at BHX downhill on 33 limits no problem. Always a workup, poor handling, late pax, lost bags you name it, BHX has got it in spades.

Guly seems to lack concentration at times and switches off. There are times he chases and tracks back but at other times he just doesn't see the dangerous situation developing. He does his best work by instinct which looks good when it comes off. His first touch lets him down far too often.
