It matters to me how my team wins and I think it matters to a lot of West Ham fans. Watch as Big Sam becomes Fat Sam becomes That Fat Ba..ard Allardyce. They've won 1 more game so far this season than we have btw.

Think that one struck a chord with the Academy of Football.

A draw was probably a fair result. I was along the side towards the end where the penalty and sending off occured. Difficult to see thepenalty as it happened so quick but the way the Saints players were so incensed by the linesman's decision strongly suggested it was a dive. I had a reasonable view of the sending off and Taylor bundled into Sharp quite heavily. I don't like to see a straight red for something like that which is far less than say a dangerous tackle but these days they are given and I've seen softer reds. I had a goodview of the handball for which Saints should have had a penalty. Great atmosphere from both sets of fans.

You are unlikely by challenging him to change the behaviour or opinions of someone saying this kind of thing. I challenged someone in the past with predictable results. The appropriate and sensible thing to do is to report the incident to the club and he'll get banned.

Can I recommend to you the Newsnow website. Set it up as your homepage and it delivers to you all saints related news, updated every 5 minutes, avoiding the need to waste valuable time trawling the Internet and giving you the benefit of alternative views.

This from the report on the Claret's Mad website: "We were only in the eighth minute of the game when the Saints marched into the lead. It was no surprise to see Guly Do Prado involved. He turned in as good an individual performance yesterday as I've seen from a player all season in the Championship." Secondly let's nail this assertion that Guly was responsible for Skate's equaliser. Granted he might have been more decisive in either staying on the post or attacking the ball but the reason their player had the opportunity was because he was unmarked. The reason their player was unmarked is because our favourite midfield player Adam Lallana wandered off and left Fonte (I think Fonte) with two players to mark, one of them the goalscorer.

This is what's called being damned with feint praise.

Good day for bollock chops. Acquitted then Capello resigns.

It's relevant to the extent that it's fact. Things haven't gone so well of late but the goals haven't dried up. My point was in response to an argument that our midfield freezes in front of goal. I suggest the midfield is there primarily to help create goals. The forwards will deliver if the supply is there.

Except that Saints are the highest scorers in the Championship FF. Someone to pick out Lee's runs is required in midfield. I've been impressed with Reeves.

It's easy to come on here and slag off the manager and criticise the players but how many of us didn't bother to turn up.

Sounds like Saints fans have really got to him. He's set himself up for the return fixture. He'll need nerves of steel at St Mary's

A reasonable summary Brummiehants except I disagree that Fox went over the ball with the challenge for which he received his first yellow card. It was a perfectly good, hard tackle. I think Hughton said he thought the booking was warranted because the tackle was "fairly fierce". Well, if you get booked for fairly fierce tackling then we may as well all go and play beach volleyball.

I'd be worried if, in good weather conditions, we'd had that much possession and created so little but 0-0 to the weather tonight. Sending off, my ar.se.

Is it Danny Murphy?

You're wrong and the central midfield. It did ok. The reason we didn't capitalise on our possession was poor delivery from the fullbacks. If we go up and continue to play a similar formation we need better quality from fullbacks/wingbacks.

He made one diagonal run so fast I thought he was teleporting.

He's good in the air. Yesterday was a good all round performance and the best I've seen him play.

The 5th Round Draw - Bolton at home (if we beat Millwall!)
Graffito replied to Colinjb's topic in The Saints
Should Saints draw Liverpool it would be interesting to see whether Adkins plays his strongest side in the replay against Millwall. -
All footballers?

At the beginning of the transfer window Sharp said words to the effect that he was going to wait and see what offers came in. I guess he had hopes of a transfer to the PL. Around the same time Adkins alluded to the fact that we might have to wait until towards the endof the window when most transfer business is done. I think Sharp was the first or one of the first forwards Saints were linked with so Iguess he's been high on Adkins' list. Could all be conjecture but could Adkins have been waiting for Sharp to make up his mind on whichever clubs came in for him? It seemed to be a similar scenario with Cork's transfer. Seemed to me he too was seeing what offers there were before deciding.
