So if his ankle's broken is it still a fair tackle?
-
That's just not credible. A man breaks into the England team in the twilight of a career spent mostly in the lower leagues and just 12 months before a World Cup Finals, makes an impact......and the he decides to give up. And my old man said be a Pompey fan. Pull the other one.

Didn't Schneiderlin get a yellow earlier this season for a tackle where he very clearly took the ball first but the follow through was deemed dangerous?

What is the point of referee that cannot protect players from this. -
Sorry but that was an appalling decision.

You're funny.

http://www.dailystar.co.uk/columnists/paul-merson/361008/Southampton-are-living-in-a-dream-world Didn't know where to post this before it goes in the bin. Is there a thicker football pundit than this chump?

Well said. How things are done is important. Cortese had form but no class.
-
Think he'll score tomorrow.

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/southampton-transfer-news-dani-osvaldo-3033473?#.Utm8ORyQFD0 "Cortese was negotiating a £7m move for Rickie Lambert to West Ham days before his exit but that looks to have stalled. England striker Lambert wants to stay at Saints and has two-and-a-half years left on his contract."

Maybe Katarina has better plans for the club than NC had

http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/patrick-barclay-southampton-saga-shows-football-and-capitalism-are-not-great-bedfellows-even-on-a-magic-mattress-9064016.html "That’s how it works. If you’re a Blackburn supporter, you get the glory under Jack Walker and the exasperation of the Venky’s. If you follow Chelsea or Manchester City, you just want your sugar daddies to stay for ever. If you support Hull, you’re revelling in the Premier League but fear you’re about to become a Tiger. I do often wonder if football and naked capitalism are an ideal mix." -

The bit I found most interesting was disagreement about the terms of a sale. -

The club statement says the manager and players will get all the support they need. It will be interesting to see what support Pochettino gets at tomorrow's press conference. It won't be an easy one. He and the players need the heat taken off them. -
He wrote this. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25420261

"Isn't that a bit like "can you keep up with us?" Like when he was at Brighton" I think that's exactly what it is. Witty by Pochettino.
-
Can you stay with us? Bit cosy.
-
We're just past the midway point in the season. Anything can happen. Though given the squads above us we'd do well to get above 8th.
-
He told him " you're very different now, since you played for the under 21's".
-
Other than not clamping down on the time wasting he was ok. Having said that we've had some right duffers this season haven't we.

They may think they don't...which is all that matters to us.

It's possible yes but from what little I know of his situation at Espanyol the situation was on a different scale than at Saints. His better players were sold which I understand happens routinely at Espanyol and it seems the club doesn't or didn't have the means to buy (we do). He was much more reliant therefore on youth players and was at a club that seems to have been in a continual state of turmoil.
-
I believe he did.
-
He dealt with a much much worse situation at Espanyol.
