There"s a danger of being overly critical. I know you are not being so and not everything was right with today's performance (cutting edge and a couple of costly defensive lapses), but let's not forget we're a good side and showed it again today. Clattenburg definitely cost us, as I feared he would. Gave a pen for a minor shirt tug at Arsenal and failed to give a blatant pen today.

Worth a point. Should have had a penalty. Their goals were well taken but we didn't defend them well. Interesting game tactically. We played deeper than usual. Irrational, but I just cant stand Everton.

Link from post 104 explains all. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/everton-v-southampton-mark-clattenburg-returns-to-goodison-park-six-years-after-merseyside-derby-controversy-9027667.html I'll be watching that any shirt tugging in the Everton penalty box is penalized consistent with the penalty he gave against Fonte at Arsenal.

Really looking forward to this one.

When I bought 6 a few hours ago there were still plenty left in P4 but at this rate they won't take long to sell out.

EXCLUSIVE: Manchester United plan to sign Adam Lallana
Graffito replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
If he goes to United or anywhere else I think it's much more likely to be in the summer, probably after the WC. We struggle to create anything without Lallana. Letting him go in January we'd be shooting ourselves in the foot. -

On December 25, along the western front, the guns fell silent and men emerged, cautiously at first, from their trenches to meet in no-man’s-land. Some sang Christmas carols, others played football. “It was absolutely astounding,” wrote a British captain, “and if I had seen it on a cinematograph film I should have sworn that it was faked!”

He had a poor game today by his standards. You are seriously overreacting.
-
Cork went into central defence? Failed to spot that one.
-
Most likely explanation. In a way I hope that's the reason and that it's not something affecting his attitude because the spark just wasn't there. His touch was indeed poor, which is unusual for him, even when he's not been at his best. He also missed an opportunity with an early free kick to put it high into the strong sunshine and give cap less Lloris a problem. Just didn't seem to be on his game today.
-
He's nowhere near ready for the PL. His decision making is poor. I trust that's down to lack of confidence and not lack of bravery. Much more experienced players let us down today.
-
Even with several out injured that game was there for the taking and we gifted it to them through crass defensive errors. Very disappointed with that. I have to live amongst the kn0bheads.
-
He wants to play for France no doubt. Agreeing that your club captain suggest publicly that you might not be averse to playing for England when the 5 years is up might just sow a seed of doubt in the France manager 's mind that he could lose him and lead to selection in a friendly. No harm done anyway. After all MS didn't say it.
-
'Twas a joke....obviously.
-
Not sure but Ryan Giggs switched from England to Wales because his dad was mean to his mum.

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/adam-lallana-reckons-southampton-team-mate-2950291? A change of heart perhaps. Adam Lallana rooms with him and says he's interested.

He would score goals for them and the goals could cement a World Cup squad place at the expense of his main rival Andy Carroll. Cortese would drive a hard bargain but West Ham are desperate and RL is 32 in January. The ingredients are there for this to be a possibility. Why might he not go? Maybe RL is settled and really does want to finish at Saints. Does he want to get relegated after two seasons in the PL, maybe never to return. Above all, we don't have a replacement and any replacement would cost a premium in January.

Pleat has more kerb appeal.

Post Match Reaction: Newcastle United 1-1 SAINTS
Graffito replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Only saw it once on MoTD but the tackle for which MS got booked looked like a good hard challenge, the kind that used to be applauded. Was it a foul? Was it a yellow? -
It's in the eye of the beholder.

Huddersfield Town.
-
Good prospect but would be very surprised if he's selected ahead of a fit Clyne.
