Must be lovely to be in always sfc and CB frys world where everything club does is wonderful. Just because we don't agree on everything club does doesn't mean we aren't saints fans. I think club could do more to keep people and I think Cortese for all his faults did a lot of good things that les reed struggles on. I also think that we will struggle to replace Koeman with someone as good. Sold so many players and got the league positions he did was a miracle imo. I hope I'm wrong and things get better but as someone who pays a lot of money to go to every game I'm very down about it at the moment and I think the club is developing more into a feeder club than it ever has.
Okay well I get you don't agree with me on anything so if you say so fine. I think Cortese was pretty much the main man in these. I think you're very naive in your views tbh. I think this is a disaster in football terms for us.
Just don't understand how you can treat this news as at all positive. He was staying another year that was obvious. For him to change that even for more money something has happened massive. I think Koemans expectations on transfers and the way forward are obviously massively different to the boards. I expect he's been told he will have to sell players again and probably thinks that with the sky money etc we should be doing more. I'd love to say onwards and upwards but I just think that's very unlikely. New manager has almost impossible task to keep us at this level.
I think the club need to review its policies tbh. Can't keep losing people like this every year. People say we've improved but Koeman is only appointment since Cortese and sold his best players and improved us. Don't think anyone will be able to match it but hope I'm wrong.
Cortese was instrumental and Marcus. Les reed and board appointing Koeman did very well. The recruitment been very good. Cedric and Martina for Clyne, not so much or clasie for Morgan. I don't think anyone will sell as many players as Koeman and finish 6th hope I'm wrong.
Also, if we get anyone good they will be gone as soon as someone comes in for them but I think under our conditions, it's almost impossible to match Koemans achievements here. Poch didn't have to sell under Cortese and had lots of investment.
