  1. Unfortunately for your analysis, imagination does not carry any weight in the eyes of the law, whereas facts proven beyond reasonable doubt do. IMO we should all keep our peace and leave the gossip alone. We know nothing for sure at this time.
  2. Agree with Window Cleaner (post 83 above) re name calling and proposed bans! In answer to the OP question about Nigel Adkins I am impressed so far, for NOW, but will be happier to have that opinion next May when we can really judge.
  3. Did you mean the treatment table?
  4. Great idea to sign Chaplow; especially as a one month loan gives NA the chance yo see if the player fits the bill.
  5. Yes, of course! Thanks to you LBA and the kind poster who reminded me that names were the first things to go.....your name was er? and why did I walk upstairs? Don Roper must have played in the late forties and the fifties.
  6. I am not that senile (yet) and I am sure that there was such a player a right winger who played for us and was sold to Arsenal. He returned and played for several years when I was still at School.
  7. I can remember Don Rogers before he went to Arsenal as well as when he returned; just a bit overweight. I suppose that we were in Div 3 South then, but my memory is not that good.
  8. :lol::lol:
  9. Agreed; Gemmel and you have seen this spot on. No wonder the Echo is banned from SMS if they have to rake up this nonsense and put a negative spin on it! In my opinion, Wharton has made a bit of an ass of himself re "Ultimatum" and NC was in this case probably tarnished unfairly. Following Adkins press conference I think that he (Adkins) comes across as honourable and a good prospective manager.
  10. If Brown has been talking, our discrete Chairman will not like that.
  11. Yes, caught in the act!
  12. If this happened, I'd be looking through The Saints Web to see who was complaining about the new managerial appointment.
  13. Definitely good news.
  14. So is Ian Harte going from Carlisle to Newcastle on a bus? He might be too late to beat the transfer deadline then, I suppose.
  15. If he did come, would Jaidi or Seabourne then be moved on? I'm sure Martin is here for the duration.
  16. Should see him in about five weeks then!
  17. Agent's wishful thinking, perhaps?
  18. Nothing on the OS at 6.15!
  19. Agreed.
  20. That was a good point that you made earlier this afternoon, S-C. Chance for the guy to prove himself before we commit too much. Let's hope he does well. (and doesn't do a Saga when/if he gets a longer contract:D). I'm watching the window, but "the big one" will be at 11.29hrs one day, I expect. Incidentally, I assume that Guilherme translates as "William" in English, so perhaps he ought to be called Bill? I don't think we have had any Do Prado's before, but I'm sure there have been a few "Bills" in the team.
  21. That's more like it, CW.
  22. I think that it might be essential for the short-term health for a lot of club supporters too! Depression likely to set in if we are not top very soon. Nevertheless, I agree with your sentiments here.
  23. So, it's detention for you when the new term starts then! Incidentally, regarding this thread, I find that some people make provocative but interesting points (eg Alpine) which deserve thoughtful answers rather than the instant anger which becomes tedious. I used to like the inside gossip, but the ITK brigade seem to be missing along with your "grammer and speeling police!"
