  1. Because it's not been confirmed whether they're actually entitled to go into administration. Once the hearing's taken place on Monday, if it turns out they were entitled to call in the administrators, they'll get the points taken off.
  2. It's certainly possible they've made a trading profit (albeit still unlikely just on the basis that they've required bailouts on a monthly basis a number of times this season), but very unlikely there would be any corporation tax due as I think you can offset previous losses against it.
  3. They could save 50 "ordinary" jobs in one big hit by sacking Storrie, FFS
  4. No real surprise and the majority of their fans have actually been hoping for it for a while. They are in the process of setting up a new club for next season, and with the old one (and the various characters involved) well and truly out of the picture, they can now get on with it and start afresh. About bloody time.
  5. Which one don't they fail on then?
  6. Apparently, even if Pompey qualify for the Europa League through the FA Cup, they won't be able to play in it as they didn't apply for a UEFA club licence in time
  7. It seems fairly clear, based on various snippets that have come from the walls of St Mary's that Cortese fits that description. What was a 5-year plan to get to the Premier League may now even be a 3-year plan for him. Whether Herr Liebherr shares that relative lack of patience or not is unknown.
  8. Went through straight away yesterday, by the look of it.
  9. Only 5 people are yet to pay, you have until the end of today to do so - I won't name and shame, I'm sure you all know who you are I'm currently sorting the home team right-back situation.
  10. Jacket potato ftw
  11. You're better off picking your own matches rather than going for their predetermined ones as they'll always throw one or two tricky ones in, even in the first block of games on the Millionaire.
  12. I won a 10-team accumulator on FA Cup 1st Round weekend thanks to a Wrexham goal in the 89th minute and a Burton Albion goal in the 96th minute Chelsea were the ones to screw me over last weekend, all the others came in comfortably.
  13. I think the Echo are as surprised by the apparently-sudden U-turn as anyone else, really.
  14. Please tell me that's not what's going in that space...
  15. No worries - still a lot of payments outstanding, although quite a few of those have emailed to say they've sent the payment so probably just a case of waiting for them to clear.
  16. Even the cash machine in the Pompey shop is skint these days... http://i47.tinypic.com/10r7ho6.jpg
  17. Just been looking back through Soccerbase, and we scored 5 (or more) in consecutive home league games in the 1983/1984 season. 28th April 1984: Saints 8-2 Coventry 7th May 1984: Saints 5-0 Tottenham However, there was an away game sandwiched between them, a 1-1 draw at Stoke. Will look further back for actual consecutive games tomorrow, unless someone gets there before me
  18. "Wow" is all I have to say tonight
  19. It wouldn't end well...
  20. I didn't consciously use the same format, to be honest - I nicked the "we're all off to " bit from the Football Ramble, but it seemed to make the most sense to do the show in a chronological order.
  21. Can't speak for the others, but I do listen to Football Weekly. The Football Ramble is another on my iTunes subscriptions list.
  22. Congratulations to the Mirror for spotting something everyone else had seen three months ago
