    LOL, I hope so !
  2. Well I heard that Man City now have 9 strikers who could potentially be 1st team choices so maybe one more and they can field a goalie and 10 strikers with John Terry on the bench !

It tends to change frequently especially when it comes to ongoing sporting matters!
  4. Lol, No need for sarcasm

No he doesn't, someone is taking the mick to be honest. More likely to sign Leroy Jetta I reckon( Aussie rules footballer ) !!!
  6. Struggling to think of any others in truth !
  7. Indeed but doesn't this always happen on here. I'm sure you are right about people seeking attention though I'd advise most to seek medical attention TBH
  8. Ah John The Man who said "I find it difficult to think of any boxer in British boxing history as unpopular boxer as Khan is at present in the UK." Does not seem to know too much about boxing to be honest nor many of the posters in fact, what a surprise to find that on a sporting forum. So I'll make up my own mind and disagree with you/them. Most people I know who are boxing fans do like Khan so that v 51 posts on a forum is more important in my opinion. I've been following boxing since the 60's so I'm confident I know more than most. As for being biased in my opinion and in no particular order the best boxers I've ever seen are Muhammad Ali ( not an original choice granted), Sugar Ray Leonard, Marvin Hagler, Oscar De La Hoya, Julio Ceasar Chavez, Roy Jones Jr, Roberto Duran, Marco Antonio Barrera, Larry Holmes and Joe Calzaghe. Oh, did I just include a British fighter, how remiss of me
  9. Bodes very well for the future especially if you add Dawson.
  10. What the hell has any of this to do with the thread :smt102. Try using pm's
  11. Play due to start at 11.15, no surprise there are showers around. No surprise also that England have declared!
  12. TBH I though he meant Aylesbury ! :smt102
  13. On that basis I think forming a Watford, Amersham, North Herts, Kings Langley, Enfield and Rickmanworth supporters group might not be such a good idea after all
  14. Freddie Roach has clearly done a great job with Amir, the perfect trainer for him and one has to give him utmost credit for that. However, I'm not going to argue with him when he says: "We have to improve in some places. He's still a young man - he's going to get a lot better." Indeed at 22 he is still a relative novice in the pro game and to win a world title just 10 months after his devastating defeat v Prescott is quite extraordinary IMO and for all of Roach's input it was of course Khan who was actually in the ring. I think it is clear he would struggle against the likes of Marques and Valero though given Marquez is 34 and Valero 27 then that is hardly surprising and the more so if you believe as I do ( as does Freddie Roach) that Khan is more of a natural welterweight than a lightweight or even a super lightweight. I also think that at the higher weights he is developing a better punch resistance and I'm not convinced he does have a glass chin based on one fight. The next few years are going to be pretty exciting though it would be ridiculous to rush him into fights with the likes of Kendall Holt and Timothy Bradley, again both are several years older than Khan. He may well fight Ricky Hatton but even though I'm a great fan of Hatton I think he is better off retiring following his defeat v Manny Pacquiao. Ricky has nothing to prove, his defeat of Kostya Tszyu in 2005 was one of the all time great performances by a British fighter and he was deservedly named the 2005 Ring Magazine Fighter of the Year. Khan has time on his side and for what it is worth I don't suscribe to the view of St Marco that "most people dislike him."
  15. Of course Le Tiss crossed my mind but I find it very hard to really class him as a midfield player. If one did then it is no contest ( no one comes close!) but Armstrong was certainly a genuine midfield player who was brilliant at making runs from midfield, the goal v Man Utd was a great example of that. So for me it is hard to compare two players whose roles within the team were so different and I don't think there is any argument Le Tiss had a much freer role.
  16. And Lawrie Mac.
  17. I look nothing like Lowe
  18. Great fight, fully deserved win for Khan but credit to Kotelnik who gave his all.
  19. Excellent, thanks !!
  20. Khan 2/5 to win, 20/1 to win in Rd 8 if you want a sporting bet. I'm pretty sure the defeat v Prescott will prove to the defining moment for Khan and fully expect him to win and inside the distance. The step up in weight won't be a problem, Freddie Roach expects him to progress to welterweight in due course.
  21. Drawn, Sussex 12 points, Hants 10.
  22. Well it is raining now but at 8pm not a great deal of help to Ponting and his team of losers
  23. Better than that, 311/6 at close of play. I don't have a problem with not enforcing the follow on unlike most of the Sky commentators who typically had to say it was wrong. The pitch is a good one but when the weather is overcast and humid that's when it can offer help to the bowlers. I reckon Australia would have easily avoided the innings defeat and quite possibly left us with a tricky target batting last. As it is we have hammered home the advantage we had in pretty ideal batting conditions and now it's either an England win or a draw though only if it rains I believe. Forecast is not great but that may not be a bad thing as long as not too much time is lost. Either way we have turned the tables from Cardiff impressively and credit in particular to Strauss who set the example.
