  1. Such hypocrisy from the man who wrote this nickh im going to salisbury races tonight and like most htings I know sweet fa about it. Any tips?
  2. Lol, why do I bother :smt102 As they say in poker better to be lucky than good !!
  3. Sandown 2.40 Crackdown Sandown 3.45 Say No Now Sea The Stars is clearly the one to beat in the Corals Eclipse but at 8/13 is not a betting proposition for me. Twice Over might provide some value especially at 22/1 currently available on Betfair.
  4. Ah well, both Emperor Court ( which drifted like a barge out to 12/1) and Dancing Storm gave punters a good run for their money and Kuanyao won comfortably at 6/1. Typically by far the worst run was by Anjomarba which actually went off as favourite but was never in the race.
  5. Hmm "Up there with the very best comedy transfers ! " In a league of its own I'd say !!
  6. A few of interest to me, all will hopefully be 5/1+ 7.35 Emperor Court 8.05 Anjomarba 8.40 Kuanyao 9.10 Dancing Storm
  7. Typical, Di Stefano 2nd and Angels Pursuit 3rd.
  8. Tough, I just thought towards the off that Canadian Danehill was likely to run well under Dettori. I assume you didn't go ew ?
  9. Looks a clear choice between Di Stefano and Angels Pursuit, 10/1 bar these 2. Might do a reverse forecast as I reckon they will finish 1/2, just not sure in which order!
  10. Haydock 6.40 Micarla at around 12/1
  11. Hmm interesting signing if it goes through. Guess it's pretty much a no lose situation for both if it goes through and I think the point about him not playing every game is a very valid one. Valencia is a good signing and though comparisons with Ronaldo are silly he certainly is worth more than 16m based on the reported £80m Real paid for Ronaldo. Owen Hargreaves should be back at some point as well, I think he is an excellent player and will be pretty much akin to a new signing. In other words Liverpool, Chelsea and the rest might still be a little way behind ?
  12. You are probably right and will be a much shorter price anyway I imagine. If I had seen the post yesterday I would definitely have agreed with your logic and based on that 12/1 was way too big. Ah, one of those really annoying "if only" moments. I know the feeliing well !!
  13. The goalscorers in the 4-1 win v Liverpool were Rideout, Le Tiss and Rod Wallace 2. It was 1989/90 and Jimmy Case was brilliant in midfield, was possibly player of the season though I'm not totally sure. Shearer made his debut in 1988 and played in the majority of the games in 1989/90 though only managed 3 goals but it is fair to say he was more of a target man providing the chances for others. 1990/91 was very similar for Shearer, 4 goals in 36 games but was named player of the season.
  14. Lol, No I assume Llanelli won !!
  15. I thought there was one once :smt102
  16. Do you mean 1976 or 2003 !?? I guess we travelled on the M3 for at least part of the way but truth to tell I cannot really remember that but I remember so much about the game and the days after (Bus through the city on Sunday, Micky Channon's testimonial on the Monday- great timing ) which is the main thing !!
  17. Yes, it was much the same with me, somehow my Dad always found the money to take me and watch Saints from the age of 10. Sadly he passed away last year but the memories are there forever. Thanks Dad, you were the best. I know Saints gave you some wonderful moments too.
  18. Oh please, don't go giving him ideas !!
  19. Actually it looks orange and white to me so I'm even happier now I realise I'm colour blind !
  20. Well the Swiss flag is red and white!
  21. No, I refuse to believe it !
  22. Yep, almost unbelievably thousands of posts and essentially diddly squat has happened except more rumours/hearsay/gossip etc to the point where I also no longer have the energy to read anything other than the last post which I suspect will be sounding in about 49 hours time!
  23. Oh for heaven's sake, I was just sitting here thinking it was too damned hot but not really a great deal you can do about it But I will ask my local Pharmacist for his "advice" on Friday but only to see how long he laughs for !
  24. Indeed, good on you Frank !
  25. Gosh, when I think back to 1976 and seeing dozens of Man U fans kicking one poor copper half to death, others in with the Saints fans including several who picked on my brother who was only 15 and countless other incidents then as much as I regret anyone getting hurt there is no comparison. Then to make it worse at least one of the tabloids reported along the lines "Never mind the result, it was nice the day went off so peacefully!" 33 years and I haven't forgotten but would only mention it in response to rubbish like that. Hypocrite indeed !
