What should we put in him do you think?
-
Gosh. That's taken another few years off my life!
-
De Ridder is the man!

Yes, thanks once again, Markus. Life without Saints is unthinkable. You've made so many so happy. Wish you were here now to see it.

What is an Oxlade? Oxbow lakes make no progress at all. Just like all of them. Should have stayed at Southampton!

That's a bit harsh. Who's gonna wash the kit then?

For those of us who can remember the sixties and seventies, this was a great, great win. I can still remember the misery constantly inflicted on us by the likes of Bremner, Giles and Clarke. How I hated that team. Absolutely superb, well-drilled footballers who, as Cloughy said, cheated at every oppthortunity. Well done Saints. A win against Leeds is worth double a win against anyone other than the Skates. Today you were superb!

I completely agree with that. .Well said my friend. Mind you, I'd love us to go up as well!

Chris Nichol had a beard at one stage. I like good old Chris!

Who was your favourite foreign Saints player? (current players don't count)

Well, i'm old enough to remember Ivan the Terrible and it just has to be Golac. Imagine being a winger and finding yourself up against him and then trying to defend against him when you quickly realised you weren't going to go past him. Magnificent player!!!! -
A very Happy Birthday, Ron. I'll never forget those four goals at Chelsea.......my first visit to Stamford Bridge. 6-2. Big Chiv with the other two and Ossie with Chelsea's two. Then met the team on waterloo Station. Not a bad day out. You are the best!

What do the rest of the players think of Puncheon? Anyone know?
-
"Even Mike Osman would be better than this!"
-
Magnificent! Well done to everybody. Can't believe it. My 91 year old Mum who's one of our longest supporters has just fallen asleep. She doesn't know the result yet....but she will!!!

Well you were right! Can you give me tonights lottery numbers please?

Great player. A very sad loss. RIP Deano

Yep. Just adding my voice to show my support for Gemmel. Great post and so true. Couldn't be happier with what's happened in this window. Keeping the Ox has put the icing on the cake. As I suggested last week......£1o million.....no chance, particularly after yesterday's events in the market place!

Great debate so far guys and thanks for that, although not many have actually answered the original question! I think my point is that, given the Bent transfer fee, if we were to let him go now (I would be devastated if we do!), shouldn't we be asking huge money, far more than the five to ten so far quoted in the press? I am totally fed up with giving away our home grown talent on the cheap and I would be looking for 25 million for him. No joke. Why not?

A young lady from Riga has just knitted me an amazingly long Saints scarf. Reckon it might be the longest ever! Thought I'd share that with you. Brilliant news. All the very best with that, Marian. You're a legend!

Hey, guess what? Dave Merrington just said, "What Saints mustn't do is concede a goal before half-time!"
-
Don't forget that Peterbororough will have half the Man United team playing for them for the rest of the season so they might become a bit of a threat.

Give the guy a break. Obviously if he hardly ever plays in the first team his kicking and his judgement at crosses will not be spot on straight away, which, in itself is a dilemma as we can't afford for mistakes to happen. So, what's the answer. Play him against crap opposition where any mistake might not be too costly or loan him out at a decent level where he can adjust to the pace of the game at someone else's expense. Difficult to know!
