I don't understand people commenting in threads that they claim not to be interested in. I'm a Saints fan and have an Art & Design background. I love the design element of the mock ups and find it passes the time between seasons. I don't consider it any sadder than reading/posting in any other thread on this forum. I find the design efforts and speculation interesting. I hardly think this is dramatic. As for the delay and secrecy by the club. I'm not bothered either way to be honest.

And of course the public sector doesn't provide a service does it?

I agree with the gist of what you're saying but when receiving the tour might this person not have been told it was Southampton's new kit rather than assuming it simply because it's red and white?

It's not just the pay cut that is the issue but the binmen having to reapply for their jobs on reduced terms and conditions too. There is a lot wrong with the refuse system but the council are making the wrong cuts with little understanding or sympathy for effects they have on those workers doing the jobs. However, the Tories are dealing with a mess left by previous administrations (they are just not doing it wisely or fairly) IMO.

I don't find MO funny in the slightest but humour is subjective. What I find more distasteful is the overt snobbery and labelling of an entire population of an estate in our city.

The City of Southampton's heraldic achievement (coat of arms) is actually quite distinct because of the double compartment (sea and land). I would love to see the shield of the arms i.e. the roses on a red and white shield as the club's crest.

I think the crown has something to do with the county of Hampshire rather than directly with the Queen.

So, our club which is soley owned by ML (or ML's estate) owes ML (or ML's estate) money but doesn't need to pay it back (to itself) until the culmination of the 5 year plan? I don't see the problem or have I missed something. We really should just be enjoying this exciting season shouldn't we?
