  1. I agree with the Judge. It's about time our courts got tougher in my opinion.
  2. Just because it appears we are moving slowly doesn't mean we are. The fact that we are hearing so little reassures me somewhat. I, like most fans, don't know the club's targets nor do we know the speed of any business. I'm pretty confident based on previous signings that we'll have good players in place for pre-season.
  3. Took a look at it in the flesh today in West Quay and personally think it's one of the best shirts we've had. The quality looks better than previous shirts too imo. Will be purchasing it tomorrow
  4. They say the British like a moan too....
  5. I don't have it yet! I think the shirt is one our best ever. Saw it today in West Quay and will be buying it tomorrow.
  6. I'm excited about next season too. Fans are fickle. this time last year..... There's far too much doom and gloom on this forum but I think that's football fans in general - aren't happy unless they are moaning about their club
  7. I'm guessing FA Cup game. It appears they owe King Edward's School 40 odd K too
  8. When they were rebuilding one end of the Dell me and a couple mates slipped under the fence with a couple of girls. My mates ran on the pitch to pretend playing for Saints while I spent some time with one of the ladies on a half built stand....
  9. Indeed. I despair at Saints' fans at times and I'm one of them. Apparently I'm not a real fan if I'm enjoying myself or perhaps I'm a "lower division" fan who isn't as good as a miserable "upper division fan" who takes his life so seriously that he has no tolerence of others with a differing approach to supporting my/his team. Some people on here aren't happy unless they are moaning. We won 4-1 at Wembley in Pardew's first season at the club. We have an ambitious chairman and an owner willing to spend his money so he can use his digital camera and yet, there are people here who need negativity so must seek it out at all costs. If there was no Mexican wave then it would be the face paint or the hats or the number of toilets or the angle of the tiers or the fact that only people who don't smile should be allowed to go to Wembley and anyway, you can't be a real fan if you purchased a ticket for the upper tier blah blah blah. Let's no lose sight of the fact that Wembley has always been a "day out" and should been enjoyed. I remember the Cup Final in '03. The fans were great and the commentators at the game were commenting on how good our fans were and enjoying their dat at Wembley. Many of us at the stadium were commenting on how miserable the Arsenal fans were - I hope we don't ever get to the point where the majority of Saints fans feel they have to "behave" to appease the grumpy old men.
  10. Some Saints fans aren't happy unless they have something to moan about. Griping about a Mexican wave really is unnnecessary and a bit mean spirited. And the snobbery of some on here is a little grubby to be honest. After the year we've had as a group of fans what harm did a Mexican wave do? None. I had some 10 year old blowing one of those noisey horns in my ear for the entire match - ususally this would annoy me but for goodness sake WE WERE AT WEMBLEY WINNING! Can't we just be happy and celebrate? This was a family day out and I pity anyone who bemoans the lighthearted fun way of celebrating such a uplifting day. Get a life!
  11. I think too many people on here are too keen to find a villian of the piece and are making huge assumptions. I'm not worried in the slightest and am still having a wonderful time being a Saints fan.
  12. The City of Southampton's own heraldic achievement i.e. Arms contain three roses believed to stem from the Houses of York and Lancaster (our city has one of the most ancient arms hence the simplicity of the shield design and goes back further than it's official granting by the College of Arms in the 16th Century). I'm pretty sure the Hampshire rose (the one on the original Saints crest) is the Tudor rose which is a combining of the red and white roses of York and Lancaster (which are the ones on the Arms of Southampton). The Crown definitely belongs above the Rose imho. Aesthetically, I think the badge could be improved if the crown was ditched all together and the rose enlarged to fill the circular space within the centre of the badge.
  13. This is an excellent badge but I have a feeling that in heraldic etiquette the crown should be above the rose and halo.
  14. Anyone have an email address for the editor of whom we speak?
  15. Then we must be reading two very different threads or one (or both) of us can't read typed expression It appears to me that several members did take this seriously judging from their responses....but then again I can't believe I even bothered replying
  16. I can't believe some of you lot took this so seriously! haha!
  17. Very good opening post. Haha! Am I the only one who gets the joke?
  18. Don't start me off on Daily Mail readers...... My loyalty goes as far as the football club not some of the moronic mooshes who follow it
  19. Anyone who has seen someone's head being kicked with force when they are lying on the ground would never want to see it again. I assure you it stays with you for a very long time. Anyone who has some misplaced sense of loyalty because the "kicker" happens to watch the same football team as them on a Saturday afternoon should reappraise their loyalties. Anyone calling someone a "grass" for informing the police if they have any information needs to stop watching DVDs and playing computer games and spend a little more time in the real world.
  20. I use other people's season tickets all the time. Never once been questioned about it
  21. I've come to the conclusion that I dislike a lot of Saints fans. Talk of sacking Pardew already? Really? FFS! Sums up one of things that is wrong with football these days.
  22. Tac-tics. Please keep sharing any news you get. Most of us on here appreciate it
  23. Shouldn't we being aiming for goal rather than midfield?
  24. A fan gave it to him at the end of the Ajax game.
  25. Nay. Wrong shade of blue and not enough yellow for my liking.
