Steve McLaren for me (really hope Poch stays though). From what I've heard/read about him his coaching is 1st class which would keep our players happy. (Poch is great at training drills according to them). Bring on the wally with the brolly!

Cheers for the link St Arm. At least he sounds happy enough at Saints! He's only 22 and captain of his national side, fantastic. The spotlight may have been on Adam, Jay, Ricky and Luke in this World Cup year but there are some outstanding young overseas players in our squad. Dejan, Victor, Morgan and Gaston are all still a few years off their "peak" and are already looking like top class players.

Have you never been to a Tyro League end of season presentation man?! The manager gives absolutely every award going to the best player in a desperate bid to stop him leaving/being poached. It's the rules and I hope it works with Adz:)

Yes I understand they are mostly on long term deals. My point is that if they sign new deals now on improved terms the media speculation will stop.

Pleased that the first wave of speculation/persuasion aimed at our talent has been rebuffed. It's just the start though and will be a long summer for us fans. There is a way to stop the speculation though and thats to hand out new and improved long term deals to the likes of Shaw, Lallana, Lovren, Chambers, Morgan and Jay Rod to reflect the increase in their value to the club.

I will be absolutely gutted if Luke goes off to those b@stards that relegated us. Hate them much more than skates. However, if a club of Arsenals stature continually loses their best players what hope have Saints realistically got?

I wish everyone wouldn't get so hung up on being #teamcork or #teambigvic. We've struggled in goal, defence and attack due to squad deficiencies but center mid has been strong all year and whoever plays there has bossed it. Its the only area we don't need to strengthen but people still moan.

The lad would be mad to leave Saints surely?! A talented young English footballer is not going to get better opportunities at Arsenal than Saints. Some of these stories (Alan Nixon this author) really don't stack up, maybe Arsenal are trying to unsettle him?

Think Poch has brought him back in to grind out some clean sheets whilst we're so short in attacking options. Wanyamas presence also allows Clyne and Shaw to push right on, Shaw looked to be playing very high today. VW was a good signing.

We always needed to score 4 or 5 at the Etihad with PG in goal and that was never going to happen was it?! Really hope we get a top class keeper and CB to push on.
