F'real. Just get this message whenever you search for something... "Imagine a World Without Free Knowledge For over a decade, we have spent millions of hours building the largest encyclopedia in human history. Ask your wife or girlfriend to name saints players.....
jawillwill replied to modern matron's topic in The Saints
If they don't particuarly like football, or support Saints, why should they know the names of any players? I don't really get the joke if I'm honest. I doubt any of them expect you to know the names of the characters from Desperate Housewives (or whatever else they might be interested in) Also, why are so many people on this thread making up answers their wives and/or girlfriends have said? I find it strange that so many of the women you guys know, seem to be able to recall the first few letters of players' names and then get the rest of it horribly wrong. -
Mental club. Pretty much about to disappear out of existance. Shame really. They have a nice stadium - I don't know the ins and outs of it, but I'm asuming that's very much a big part of their problem. Manager and all their first team players have just been axed by the administrator.

The Sahara desert trek and the Mount kilamanjaro climb sound more exciting to me if I'm honest...

Are you suggesting we might be able to put the SPL Trophy in the St Mary's trophy cabinet if they win it?

To the tune of 'Feeling Hot Hot Hot' (i.e. the going up, up, up song from the end of last season) Tad-an-ar-i Tad-an-ar-i Tad-an-ar-i Tad-an-ar-i We've got Lee, Lee, Lee We've got Lee, Lee, Lee

You make me sick.

Why would he hate Pompey? He's probably hasn't even heard of them yet.

I'm excited now.

While we're on the subject, how about bringing Paul Williams back temporarily too while Fonte's injured. A long shot I know, but seeing as he's still involved the club anyway and bleeds red and white (probably) he could probably still do a job for us in our hour of need. What do you guys think?

I'm not going to even pretend I know anything about work permits, but what has the number of caps got to do with anything? How come Guly could get one if he hasn't got any?

Peter has done a great job at modding this thread. Well done Peter.

Footballers chewing chewing gum while playing
jawillwill replied to jawillwill's topic in The Saints
Coming to think of it, after the Walsall pitch invasion last year, there was definately something sticky on my shoe as I was leaving. Almost certainly the result of bad chewing gum disposal. -
While watching the United v City game, one thing has struck me, is that a number of players chew chewing gum while playing (Paul Scholes, and Wayne Rooney definately are). Surely this can't be good for sportsmen attempting to play at the highest level? And surely it's potentially dangerous to as a choking hazard (especially if they're tackled hard etc.). I just can't see how chewing while trying to exercise can be anything other than a hinderance. Do any Saints players chew gum while playing? And if so, do they chew the same bit for the whole game? Where do they put it when it's finished? Surely it wouldn't be good for the St Mary's turf if they spat it out on the field? Do they swallow it- as a child I was always taught that was dangerous to do that. Has anyone ever seen a player blow a bubble with it during a game? I hope no Saints players do. People who constantly chew gum in public are usually complete morons (i.e. Paul Scholes and Wayne Rooney).

Shouldn't this be in the general sports forum?
-
May I just ask which part of your posts I'm supposed to put the most emphasis on? I get a bit confused everytime you write something. Are the bold bits the most important? Or the italics? Or the underlined bits?

Will anyone notice?
