  1. On the other hand it might help young Prowsey's game if he got out a bit and had a pint or two and got laid occasionally.
  2. Clarkey, you seem not to rate Elia to about the same degree I can't see enough quality in JWP. I can see Elia staying as a squad player - he is probably a slightly better player than your assessments of him, just as Ward-Prowse is probably a tad better than the rating I give him.
  3. Austin is similar in physique to Lambert; not particularly quick; holds the ball up well; good with his head; good finisher and is English. Quite a few similarities to Ricky, compared to say, Ings, Kane, Crouch, and the Arsenal striker who used to play for Man U whose name I can't remeber.
  4. Austin would be very welcome....a young version of Rickie.

    Loanees

Yes, the squad was light on without Tadic and Morgan. I thought Djuricic did quite well against City and showed more of an attacking mid-field instinct than JWP has.

    Loanees

I made an assumption (wrongly perhaps) that because RK started with Djuricic against Man City and brought Elia on as a sub, he still had both in mind for staying. Why play either if RK had already decided they were gone?
  7. Has he done much since coming on?
  8. Djuricic had a good spell and JWP hasn't done much yet. We are certainly playing with more intensity in this half.
  9. Long's had a good game.
  10. He played well today.
  11. And on his first half display he will get one.
  12. Djuricic looking lively.
  13. Have at least a couple of pints - terrific effort!
  14. I took Ron bringing them on as subs. as an indication he'll keep both for next season.
  15. Has to. Citeh will run riot if both Davis and JWP start in midfield.

    Mane

Not long after Mane returned from injury and ACON, quite a few posters started to rate him as approaching elite status, despite his relative youth and inexperience in the Prem. Looks a good call to me - very few players in the game can handle a striker, winger, AM role the way he can. I do worry about a "big" Club coming in for him in the Summer.
  17. He's a complex cove; our Alpine.
  18. Good summary; and on the subject of Gazza, given the importance of next Sunday's game, why not start with Gazza and bring Kelvin on late in the game to rack up 300 appearances. Yes, Vlaar was unrecognizable from the superb World Cup defender 12 mths ago.
  19. Apart from the obvious great displays by Mane and Long, Clyne looks to be back to his best and Wanyama is controlling midfield.
  20. Leeds a few years back wasn't it?
  21. It really has been.
  22. Great goal.....funny thing is, for all our dominance...both JWP and Davis have been anonymous.
  23. And you must be JWP's Grandfather.
  24. Interested to know why you would pick Ward-Prowse as a starter. Surely Davis, despite his missed shots played a better all round game.
  25. Yep, this guy (Mane) is star quality and the thought he could be bought cheaply is a delusion. What isn't a delusion is the likelihood that several "big" clubs will have noticed Sadio's unique skills and big offers in the Summer are quite likely. Hope he stays.
