Agreed. Constructive criticism when he does is normally with good reason and not for the sake of it.

She'll be able to take advantage of our NHS system and get that tongue looked at

A team that topped the Premiership (albeit very temporarily!) just the season before you mean? No doubt about it Bart had a shocker and not just the goal alone. Were there mitigating circumstances? Yes, in terms of not playing regular football but that aside it's hard to find too many positives out of his performance. The problem still exists of finding a good enough number 2 who's prepared to warm the bench week in week out rather than play first team football elsewhere.

Intentional double entendre? Made me chuckle

We went 4-4-2 when Connolly game on, we were already 4-5-1. Good win despite the pace disappearing out of the game and too much 'football' being played at times with not enough drive in to the last third. Thought both full-backs struggled especially Richardson.

Yes Luken(?) Homes

You know that for a fact? Match fit possibly not but not fit? Really? The important thing to remember about Beattie which was pointed out to me by a lovely old fella in the Chapel End one sunny Saturday afternoon when he quite seriously said 'have you noticed that Beattie's second touch is always a tackle?'

He's been making overtures to a few clubs but obviously no takers as yet. There's no doubt we are worringly thin on the ground up front so if a deal can be made that suits all parties then why not. Clearly he would need to prove his fitness and desire first.

What's more important ? The furture of SFC or its past ?
Greenridge replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Saints
Nicely put. NC might not be everyone's cup of tea, he takes no prisoners, goes about everything in a very business-like manner and doesn't appear overly concerned if he's popular or not as long as he is making decisions that he feels are right for SFC. It's very difficult to argue that he hasn't overseen exemplary performance from the The Club in his time here and long may it continue. If things don't work out then it's maybe time to review but for now it's a great time to be an SFC supporter and we should all get behind The Club. -
Judging by the teams that the vast majority of managers put out for CC games they hardly see it as a priority and most fans appear to feel the same.

I couldn't see this posted elsewhere... http://www.skysports.com/story/0,,11700_7191907,00.html He's been a good servant to the Club in his time here

Ticket pricing is in economic terms relatively inelastic in that a small change in price (either upwards or downwards) has an almost insignficant effect on ticket sales. The general economic condition of the country and general downward trend in attendance figures nationally along with the previously mentioned reasons contribute more significantly.

Christ there are some odd folk on here. He wants ideas for a saints tattoo image not where to put it.

Sorry if already posted but there are a couple of minutes highlights on SSN http://www.skysports.com/video/inline/0,26691,16428,00.html Nice first goal from Rickie Newman....when did we sign him? And a second from someone who looked just like him but called Lambert and at the 'near post'? It must have been dark in the editing room.

Indeed but the query was regarding winning headers and I'm fairly sure the only definition is getting your bonce on the ball ahead of the opponent and not where it ends up.
-
Sounds like Harding
-
In terms of 'winning the header'? Er yes.
-
How about a combination of the two? He's getting on a bit now though is Steve

Stealing money and mobile phones? I'd like to think not.

FIFA World rankings would suggest it's a valid statement

Just using the above as an example but from what I can ascertain there is just one poster on this thread who claims to have seen him play amongst the 45+ posts of 'opinion' as to whether he's any good or not. As you say time will tell.

NA know's what he'll be getting with Martin, whether he's seen enough of Hooiveld in the few days he's been with us who knows. Martin has had a few ganes under his belt so has match fitness, don't know of Hooivelds situation and as I doubt many, if any, of us have seen him play I'm not sure anyone can give an answer based on much at all!

Away to Bristol Rovers in the Cup?
-
Seems the Board haven't supported him in transfer dealings the same way they didn't support Davies before him.

I remember talking to a guy sat next to me in the Chapel and he said 'have you ever noticed Beattie's second touch is always a tackle?'. Made me laugh anyway.
