He was at the Oldham game last night so that should give him some food for thought.
-
Unless he unfortunately get's injured. I get the feeling he's played his last game for us so I don't think he'll be 'risked'.
-
With Hull having a bid turned down and now Reading making a bid I would have thought any chance we had of signing him are becoming increasingly distant. Still, be nice to be wrong. We should have looked at him when he was at Poole!
-
I'm sure at 21 he wants to be playing football and as there is virtually no reserve football that leaves him as a professinal 'trainer'. I hope he stays around as he looks a decent player, he's shown enough potential that he could be playing for someone week in week out, whether that's with us or in a higher or lower league I don't know.
-
I'm pretty sure he's 21. Jaidi always worries me when we're up against anyone with just a touch of pace. If he sticks to his game as a blocker and let's Fonte get on with the football then we're OK. Hopefully Martin doesn't get too disillusioned and looks for a move as I think he is one for the future and Jaidi can't last forever, certainly not in the CCC if we get there.

I think we're pretty much covered at CB with Jaidi, Fonte, Seaborne and Martin. I'd like to see Martin and Fonte given an extended run together. Thought Martin was one of our better players in the early part of the season and now struggles to make the squad let alone the first 11.

A bit harsh. Three good finishes with Guly being the pick of the bunch for me.

Daily Mail: "Lallana offered bumper 3 year deal"

Let's hope he signs. It would be a massive blow if we were to lose him. -
Picked a good one to miss Don't know if it's been mentioned elsewhere on the thread but according to a report on Final Score Damien Comolli is at the ground today...thought to be watching Alex O-C.

Inept. What a dreadful performance both individually and as a team. No urgency, no shape, no midfield. Badly missed the spine of the team with Fonte, Chaplow and Barnard missing. Just shocking and disappointing. Let's hope it's a one-off.

BBC state Pardew get Newcastle job within 24 hrs.

Pardew had an interview in London with a Premiership club 2 weeks ago so it would seem that was more than likely NUFC -

Would be good to have the option, personally I enjoy sitting down now that I'm getting on a bit! -
As pointed out elsewhere Jaidi has the turning circle of a super-tanker but when he sticks to what he's good at then he's a good player but trying to play football is not his game. In the later part of the second half he gave a series of awful short passes to Dickson instead of clearing it up the pitch.

Haven't managed to get to many games this season so was quite interesting to see the changes in personnel compared to last season. A good first half where Saints dominated right up until their man got stretchered off in the 40th minute or so then Brighton had a decent 5 minute spell. Poyet changed something at half-time that completely changed the face of the game and the second-half was stalemate. For me Poyet won the second-half tactical game. The time-wasting from their keeper was frustrating, he was clearly happy for a draw and if Brighton are top of the league we have nothing to fear. Chamberlain had a quiet game and it seemed to pass him by at times but time and experience will no doubt help him. Lambert, as has been said by many, is a shadow of last season's player although I thought he showed plenty of endeavour. Barnard worked his socks off and on another day could have bagged a couple.

Did Paul Rideout score a couple on his home debut, at least one was a header I recall. Must have been the 88/89 season I think and I remember banging two in after we signed him from Bari thinking this boy can play. Whether it was his debut or not I'm not sure?

He scored for Doncaster against Pompey on Saturday so you should forgive him now.

If ever there was a good reason to change them that was it!

Adkins? Bit early to say.
-
Glad to hear it was a good night and most importantly hopefully a decent amount of money made it's way into the charity's coffers
-
Do you think he'll Level with us?

As most people / organisations often find out it's better to have the media / press on your side rather than against it. Maybe NC underestimated the power of the press in this country and has ultimately decided to mend some bridges and let the status quo revert to normal.
-
How many people have been offered the job now? Is it just Adkins and Howe?
-
Without doubt NC is an astute businessman but whether his style can transmit across in to the world of football has yet to be proven. There's a propaganda war going on and you have to take much of what is said - by all parties - with a pinch of salt. NC doesn't seem too worried about winning any popularity contest with anyone either directly associated or indirectly associated with the Club but if he does a decent job then that's by-the-by as far as I'm concerned.

SSN reporting that S****horpe say the offer to Adkins is withdrawn

Fair enough but the very same thing is being discussed on at least two other threads and the forum is in meltdown. Not a dig at the OP but it is getting hard work to keep up!
