  1. You really are a grade one plonker.
  2. As you say it would be foolish to give up and I'm sure we won't but we are a lot closer to fourth bottom than 6th top and this result probably means our push for promotion will have to be the 2010/11 season.
  3. Very good, like that. The background my need to be a little lighter for reproduction clarity but very classy.
  4. ...and the implication is that they have to start paying off the £3.5M fee with immediate effect...ooops
  5. I believe Avram is looking to join us....
  6. I guess we'll be losing some capacity due to segregation.
  7. It's like a scratched record, very monotomous and predictable. I've not a lot of time for LM but I respect what he did for The Clubs history and don't feel the need to raise the topic at every tenous opportunity and train crash each and every thread with the same diatribe. Welcome back NC.
  8. Why is it unthinkable? What purpose do the Daily Echo serve anymore? At best they are 24 hours behind with the news which makes it tomorrows fish and chip paper. I don't agree with the spat that NC and The Echo are having but at the same time it doesn't give me nightmares, let the two parties involved worry about it, not us.
  9. Looks like they are stalling by applying for a delay in the HMRC proceedings planned for next week....
  10. It's not a pointless thread due to whether or not certain regimes have 'acted even handedly' but because the argument SOG put up was shown to be incorrect. That is the point not whether you are pro RL or NC which is neither here nor there. READ the posts it will become clear.
  11. Read Wes Tender's post #1.....it somewhat highlights why SOGs OP is baseless and therefore pointless. It's not a question of RL vs NC, it's a question of stating facts rather than trying to massage something to fit an agenda. There are numerous posts on this thread that put SOGs argument to bed. And as has been pointed out by others 'twaddle' is very polite indeed
  12. Enlighten us to what is 'interesting' about the post John. Before you do though take a minute or so to read the few posts after yours and you will see that SOG is really talking twaddle I'm afraid.
  13. Have you considered it could be purely coincidental that in the two examples you quoted it transpired that the 'cheaper' of the players were signed. I think you are missing some basic understanding of transfer conditions if you are thinking the transaction price is the be-all and end-all indicator (even though you state this yourself?). There is huge difference between spending little or no money as certain previous regime's have done as opposed to spending wisely and not being taken for a ride just because we have a few pennies in the bank. It's called astute business practice.
  14. And it doesn't really aid the debate when mods join in with 'brik-brats' as well. He may not be everyone's cup of tea but he's asked two reasonable questions in the opening post that don't deserve the mandatory 'you don't go to games so can't contribute' type statements. The 'I'm better than you' fans had hopefully been a thing of the past but prehaps not. Back to the questions posed then it would seem that Connelly is continuing to struggle with niggling injuries which is why his contract was structured as it was. You can't show 'form' in training. You can show effort, desire, enthusiasm and fitness but not form. Hopefully Barnard will give us the additional fire power we need after being a little light in personnel with the departures of Saga and Paterson.
  15. Pardew: ''We are now finished for this second half of the season in terms of transfers....''
  16. Bridge split from her at Xmas so I guess you can work out the answer from there Westy?
  17. JB's views can be summed up as follows.....
  18. Lol, only two posts in
  19. £1.7M..... ouch http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_5873389,00.html
  20. My apologies if this is already posted here or elsewhere but now Sol Campbell has joined the list of creditors by suing Pompey for £1.7M http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_5873389,00.html
  21. At least one major airline in the US already does this - South West I think. It's not unreasonable especially for the people who have paid for a 'whole' seat yet have it encroached on by their well built neighbour!
  22. Nice touch, fair play to those that helped out
  23. Apart from that he's pretty useful then......
  24. Indeed but did you mean to refer to Pekhart? Did anyone actually see Forecast play to make an assesment either good or bad?
  25. Not the first time the OS has tried to be 'funny'.............
