As most people / organisations often find out it's better to have the media / press on your side rather than against it. Maybe NC underestimated the power of the press in this country and has ultimately decided to mend some bridges and let the status quo revert to normal.
Without doubt NC is an astute businessman but whether his style can transmit across in to the world of football has yet to be proven. There's a propaganda war going on and you have to take much of what is said - by all parties - with a pinch of salt. NC doesn't seem too worried about winning any popularity contest with anyone either directly associated or indirectly associated with the Club but if he does a decent job then that's by-the-by as far as I'm concerned.
Fair enough but the very same thing is being discussed on at least two other threads and the forum is in meltdown. Not a dig at the OP but it is getting hard work to keep up!
Agreed lol. I can't see us withdrawing an offer over the sake of a couple of hundred £K at most. Still the first time we have seen our activity in either the transfer market or managerial market played out in public. NC won't be a happy bunny.
I would imagine it's no more than a detailed point of negotiation in the grand scheme of things but would be better if it was not played out in public. NC seems to be quite a 'character'.
I'm sure it will be confirmed that Adkins was our first choice.....funny that the one appointed is always the 'first choice'. Anyway good luck to the man. COYR
I'm sure he knows more about the Chairman than any one poster on here despite what the ITKers would have you believe. I don't agree with him going public on this but at the same time it would be foolhardy not to atleast listen to what he has to say. There is a significant ground swell against NC right now and there must be some substance behind it. Personally I find it a worrying time for the Club.
Sorry if already posted but there's a new article on SSN ref Adkins

...reading between the lines I'd say he's definitely been talking to Southampton
