I agree with your views on James but to point the finger at Lallana is just so predictable. I would have thought you would have tempered your disdain for him after being proved so wrong week after week but it doesn't seem to have any effect. If Adam left Harding exposed at times then maybe that's something we have to live. I'm sure it was no different to Antonio / Papa and James on the other flank. The midfield got completely bypassed by the defence for the majority of the game and to watch Jaidi's body language was disturbing to say the least. I think you'll find there are plenty of places to point the finger before getting to Lallana. I'd like to think this was a one-off and that lessons will be learned and I'm glad we have someone like Pardew at the helm instead of internet managers.

Trottman struggled but Jaidi had a shocker and his body language was unreal, he didn't look like he could give a toss. Why play 4-4-2 when the defence insist on missing out the midfield altogether. Schneiderlin had a horror as well. Lambert couldn't seem to get into the game but that seemed down to lack of service. In saying that I think we were the better team over the whole 90 minutes but giving the others a 2-0 start is shooting yourself in the foot of the highest degree. Hopefully just a blip and not a time for suicide and inquests.

He's busy making sure people are fed and watered down by the river

Where should we be looking? In The Sun or The Beano?

In view of all that's going on down the road you really have to take your hat off to Paul Hart. Keeps his head down and gets on with the job. Can't be easy for him to say the least but I think he'll come out of the sorry mess with his head held high and probably walk into a decent job in due course unlike Storyteller et al.

You've not read too many SunnyD posts then I take it? Back to the thread and the subject of Mortimer is quite interesting to include in the debate as the sum of the parts certainly appear to contribute to the success of the whole during the LM period. In that case surely LM should be commended for putting together a back room staff as well as one more than capable on the pitch. Afterall this is all part of 'management'.

Lol I think it was £5M rather than a fiver but a fiver sounds better! You couldn't make it up..and you didn't. Nice work Pancake.

Is the Lounge more interesting than the main forum?
Greenridge replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Lounge
Seems some things don't change regardless of forum section. Besides that then there's some interesting stuff in the Lounge, the Takeover thread being a good example with loads of info and some decent input from those down the road. -
Sad news indeed.

Different players so no real comparison. Can't see how Surman would get a game for us to be honest. I hope he manages to get a few games at Wolves and makes a go of it there.

It's his role on the forum. His glass is not even half empty, in fact I don't think he has a glass.

Or your old mate Rupert. He certainly knew how to run a club.

If he could sort out the catering and perhaps a radio station I'd be fully behind him, until then I'm not sure he's the right owner for us

It's quite amazing to think where we are now compared to 12, even 6 months ago. Whilst we're not there yet the whole feeling all around the Club is quite incredible from the depths we reached. Surprisingly we do have something to thank the previous regime for and that is creating a position where we have the current owners. Long may it continue.

Gaby Logan has just said it will be 'quite a shock' if Saints win being that they are second from bottom and MK Dons second from top. Mmmm has anyone told her #-o

James is certainly no right back and is one of the weaker elements of the team right now. I'd prefer Murty in there but of course he's not a long term solution and as we have more experience on the park now we're not desperate for that contribution either. Would like to think it's a position we are looking to strenthen in. A right-sided version of Harding would be nice.
-
Trouble is they must both be at top European clubs at the moment and it would cost too much to buy them out of their lucrative long term contracts I guess.
-
Agree entirely and coupled with the fact he has a somewhat tarnished reputation to rebuild I think he will stay for the 'project'

Forums are forums and they all suffer from wind-up merchants and trolls as well as cyber warriors battling away from behind their keyboards. We have one or two that even if we were top of the Prem and winning everything would still come up with their attention seeking 'oh-so-controversial' threads and posts. Regardless of that we are on the up and there is no doubt about that, it's been a while coming but let's enjoy the ride. COYR \\:D/

Pretty much how I see it, a strange scenario on the face of it. I don't think anyone can say (well yes I know they have but hey) that he hasn't applied himself when given the chance but for whatever reason his face doesn't fit. To bring in someone like Connolly who's hardly played in two years due to injury and is broadly a similar type of player to Saga shows that Marek really has no future here.

When I turned on teletext to get a score update this afternoon update for the first time since I don't know when I actually EXPECTED to see us in the lead. I can't remember when I last felt like that, it was an almost surreal moment and things really look like they're on the up for us now. COYR

Good luck, hopefully will keep him match fit if nothing else. With the additions to the squad it's hard to see him getting much of a look in here. When you're his size you have to be exceptional to 'make it' and he's not that.

How would you like the thread to conclude SunnyD? It's been running since 3rd week of September and here we are mid October and you still seem keen to keep it in the limelight. Seems the rights, wrongs, whys, whats and wherefores have been discussed ad nauseam. What else is there to discuss, genuinely?

This thread is the perfect antedote for anyone suffering from somniphobia
