James is certainly no right back and is one of the weaker elements of the team right now. I'd prefer Murty in there but of course he's not a long term solution and as we have more experience on the park now we're not desperate for that contribution either. Would like to think it's a position we are looking to strenthen in. A right-sided version of Harding would be nice.

Trouble is they must both be at top European clubs at the moment and it would cost too much to buy them out of their lucrative long term contracts I guess.
-
Agree entirely and coupled with the fact he has a somewhat tarnished reputation to rebuild I think he will stay for the 'project'

Forums are forums and they all suffer from wind-up merchants and trolls as well as cyber warriors battling away from behind their keyboards. We have one or two that even if we were top of the Prem and winning everything would still come up with their attention seeking 'oh-so-controversial' threads and posts. Regardless of that we are on the up and there is no doubt about that, it's been a while coming but let's enjoy the ride. COYR \\:D/

Pretty much how I see it, a strange scenario on the face of it. I don't think anyone can say (well yes I know they have but hey) that he hasn't applied himself when given the chance but for whatever reason his face doesn't fit. To bring in someone like Connolly who's hardly played in two years due to injury and is broadly a similar type of player to Saga shows that Marek really has no future here.

When I turned on teletext to get a score update this afternoon update for the first time since I don't know when I actually EXPECTED to see us in the lead. I can't remember when I last felt like that, it was an almost surreal moment and things really look like they're on the up for us now. COYR

Good luck, hopefully will keep him match fit if nothing else. With the additions to the squad it's hard to see him getting much of a look in here. When you're his size you have to be exceptional to 'make it' and he's not that.

How would you like the thread to conclude SunnyD? It's been running since 3rd week of September and here we are mid October and you still seem keen to keep it in the limelight. Seems the rights, wrongs, whys, whats and wherefores have been discussed ad nauseam. What else is there to discuss, genuinely?

This thread is the perfect antedote for anyone suffering from somniphobia

Lallana is such a poor player. No positional sense, no touch, can't strike a dead ball, plays for himself and not the team, can't score for toffee.
-
Player of month 1st Lallana, 2nd Hammond, 3rd Lambert

That'll upset a few of the myopic posters we have. Let's hope he continues the form he has shown in recent weeks. -
Really? Whilst Saga has made it clear he'd like to play at a higher level I doubt there are many that would question is attitude / effort who have seen him first hand when he has been given a chance. Let's hope Connolly's recent injury record is something of the past. If it is then he could be a terrific signing.

Similar type of player to Saga and the same age bracket....

Ditto Chez. Will be interesting to hear Derry's assesment amongst others.

Prehaps you could have just pointed me in the right direction instead of the sarcastic comments. Thank you for the explanation.

Care to elaborate? If not why bother posting.

Something I'm sure every single one of us has done on more than one occasion. A very sad and tragic accident for all involved.
-
Surely he could do some DIY-doctoring to save a few pennies on health care insurance? I see on teletext 'gossip' that the Premier League may step in to save Portsmouth from going into Administration. How does that work then?

Good luck for a succesful evening and a very worthy cause. Let's hope this thread is not ruined by the predictable poster.

It appears even MacAllister has snubbed the sinking ship.

Same guy(s). Just like the drink...artificial and bad for you.

To be fair he had a long run of games at RB last season and whilst there was some improvement there is no doubt he struggled badly in that position. If Murty and Thomas are going to be injury prone, and age suggests this might be the case, then we need to seriously consider bringing in a loan of a specialist RB.

As others have said fingers crossed for a speedy recovery. A nice little victory tonight would be a tonic for Ron and Chris.

As do most threads involving SunnyD unfortunately.

And because you are on page 3 of your 'how to be a football coach 101' pamphlet your opinion is more valid then, yes?
