  1. Shame to see him go but it's one position we're not short of numbers on with Bart, Forecast and Poke
  2. The key paragraph being the last one They clearly couldn't do it then so why should they be able to do so now. IMO their reputation has been tarnished beyond the point they would have the support of the fans.
  3. Assuming that one of the potential buyers is close then that, coupled with the sales of DMG and Surman would almost mean there would be no winding up of the club in the very near future. If Fry has the opportunity to get xx in the £ back for the creditors through a sale that may take another few days to complete then he would do this rather than liquidate the club and get zero for them.
  4. Dignity and Loyalty are not good reasons to appoint someone. However we are where we are right now and until things change we have little choice but to support the decision. The new owners, whoever they are and whenever they come in, may well have different ideas.
  5. And likewise. My Dad managed to get two tickets for the game for us....in the home supporters seated stand lol! I sat on my hands the whole game with virtual duct tape over my mouth but couldn't contain myself when Moran scored (just after Biley hit our bar I think). Next thing I know is I'm the only one stood up and my old man grabs me and pulls me back down to my seat....we then made a swift exit.
  6. Point made! They've got to be rght eventually.........(hopefully)
  7. Interestingly last nights Echo seemed to think it was only a matter of dotting the i's and crossing the t's so hopefully all systems go.
  8. Perhaps someone could enlighten those hugely underwhelmed by the appointment exactly what Wotte demonstrated in his short tenure at the helm that gives you confidence he will succeed this year. Was it his motivational skills or prehaps his playing of Smith and claiming he had world class abilities? I whole-heartedly agree he has shown loyalty to Saints, although of course depends on whether he had any other options, but being loyal does not make you a good manager. I really hope that I am wrong or that this is only a temporary measure.

    Surman

He did indeed have a very poor season but in a very poor team that was poorly managed throughout it's not surprising. He'll come good again and probably the less physically robust Premier League will suit him more than the CCC.
  10. The news just gets better and better for SFC. Still, beggars can't be choosers. Despite his failings as a manager he conducts himself with some dignity (when not slagging off the fans).
  11. That most ITKers are quite the opposite.
  12. Fair play to you TDD
  13. According to the Echo he had a medical yesterday so sounds authentic.
  14. We just don't know the facts to make such a call, do we?
  15. It's really no surprise that you and your friend Tim share a similar view on this. You have both been consistent in your anti-Crouch feelings and pro-(sorry forgot the guys name). Crouch may well be guilty of a lot of things but doing his level best to keep the Club afloat is not one of them. I don't see too many ex-Chairman sticking their hands in their pockets. Pinnacle have hood-winked him that's for sure but they've also done the same to numerous other people including Begbie Traynor who should have had the resources and skills to see through the sham.
  16. It's difficult to put this any other way.........you my friend are an idiot.
  17. An extremely worn out phrase I know but these are just a bunch of tyre kickers looking for their 15 minutes of fame in the limelight. Hopefully they'll go and play their games elsewhere now and the club can survive despite the abysmal time wasting that the Pinnacle Group has given us.
  18. I take it that is related in some way to the DMG sale? Fry sounded (surprisingly - to me atleast) optimistic on the article on the OS regarding an imminent sale??
  19. It's fair to say many were suspicious of the Pinnacle bid and as it unfolded it unravelled as holes started to appear. It's no time for finger pointing but you just have to ask how they got this far in the process and if Begbie Traynor did their job. Not surprising that Jackson walked away as well, very convenient. Quite why our Club deserves such a bunch of ego-massaging wally's is beyond me. Let's hope a rabbit can be pulled out of someones hat from somewhere.
  20. Probably as much to do with the player as the club itself. Afterall he proved last year that he's clearly too good for League 1 and in reality the CCC as well. Ah, hold on a minute.....
  21. Someone's been messing with the buttons on your keyboard again Nick. Both the above rumours have been touted in the press for some time now and with a combination of needs (cash) and desires of the players I would think both are quite likely.
  22. Ummm......No.
  23. That's what inhaling top secret formula weedkiller does to you
  24. Agreed however it would appear he is trying to do something positive. IF the Swiss bid was better in the first place then you should consider pointing the finger at Fry rather than Crouch.
  25. Fry has stated in his update that 'there will not be a further exclusivity period available to potential purchasers due to the tight deadlines...'
