  1. He'll be the one on his PDA looking at http://www.tiresomeattentionseeker.com
  2. Agreed. It's time to move on.
  3. I only normally post in the Saints related forum so excuse me if this is in the wrong place or already posted but it is being reported (From WHTID and various other news sources) that John Hartson has testicular cancer which has spread to his brain. Awful news indeed.
  4. Lol he looks like he's in desperate need of a bloomin good pre-season
  5. That's almost the funniest post on the forum. Strangely coincidental that the vast majority with this so-called balanced view were supporters of a certain Chairman.
  6. How's your take-over coming along?
  7. His Pompey link is irrelevant but his performance there is not.
  8. The Club was going one way when Pearson took over and the momentum needed halting before it could be turned around and some semblance introduced that allowed for us to get out of trouble. I don't disagree with you quoting 'facts' but there were circumstances involved that the likes of yourself and TDD conveniently ignore because it doesn't suit your line of thinking.
  9. With the right coaching and nurturing AL will go on to be a very good player indeed. Simple.
  10. Would seem to suggest 'the Swiss' consortium is in pole
  11. Let's hope it's a sign we can get the blend of age and experience right this year.
  12. On the OS (can't see it here...yet) http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1712801,00.html
  13. Probably true. What is worrying is the quote that we only have 21 squad players...and 3 of them (maybe 4 if KD was included in those stats) are keepers
  14. Shame to see him go but it's one position we're not short of numbers on with Bart, Forecast and Poke
  15. The key paragraph being the last one They clearly couldn't do it then so why should they be able to do so now. IMO their reputation has been tarnished beyond the point they would have the support of the fans.
  16. Assuming that one of the potential buyers is close then that, coupled with the sales of DMG and Surman would almost mean there would be no winding up of the club in the very near future. If Fry has the opportunity to get xx in the £ back for the creditors through a sale that may take another few days to complete then he would do this rather than liquidate the club and get zero for them.
  17. Dignity and Loyalty are not good reasons to appoint someone. However we are where we are right now and until things change we have little choice but to support the decision. The new owners, whoever they are and whenever they come in, may well have different ideas.
  18. And likewise. My Dad managed to get two tickets for the game for us....in the home supporters seated stand lol! I sat on my hands the whole game with virtual duct tape over my mouth but couldn't contain myself when Moran scored (just after Biley hit our bar I think). Next thing I know is I'm the only one stood up and my old man grabs me and pulls me back down to my seat....we then made a swift exit.
  19. Point made! They've got to be rght eventually.........(hopefully)
  20. Interestingly last nights Echo seemed to think it was only a matter of dotting the i's and crossing the t's so hopefully all systems go.
  21. Perhaps someone could enlighten those hugely underwhelmed by the appointment exactly what Wotte demonstrated in his short tenure at the helm that gives you confidence he will succeed this year. Was it his motivational skills or prehaps his playing of Smith and claiming he had world class abilities? I whole-heartedly agree he has shown loyalty to Saints, although of course depends on whether he had any other options, but being loyal does not make you a good manager. I really hope that I am wrong or that this is only a temporary measure.

    Surman

He did indeed have a very poor season but in a very poor team that was poorly managed throughout it's not surprising. He'll come good again and probably the less physically robust Premier League will suit him more than the CCC.
  23. The news just gets better and better for SFC. Still, beggars can't be choosers. Despite his failings as a manager he conducts himself with some dignity (when not slagging off the fans).
  24. That most ITKers are quite the opposite.
