If he did pay it, and there seems to be a strong indication he did, then I imagine he would have done it from a supporters perspective rather than to gain favour with Pinnacle. Whatever you think about Crouch he has dipped into his funds more than any other in recent times to support the running of the Club.

As many have suggested reading between the lines would seem to indicate the Pinnacle bid has no real chance of completing. What do these people think they're playing at. The Club just lurches from crisis to crisis and when you think things can't get any worse they indeed do.

And those that are under contract can walk away too as their contracts have been breached? If this is a possible scenario then Fry is rapidly running out of assets.

Absolutely. If this bid does have questionable financial support that has got past Fry and his team then it would be no surprise if they have convinced MLT of it's integrity as well. Worrying times I'm afraid.

It would demonstrate good intention. I know many of us are questioning the developments of this evening but you just have to assume (dangerous I know) that Fry is comfortable with the funding arrangement Pinnacle are presenting.

Probably already posted but there's a short article on SSN now relating to the earlier interview http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11719_5401187,00.html seems to suggest he has funded this weeks wages although that doesn't seem to be the case...

So it would seem we have reached some sort of impasse. The FL are not going to back down so it's a question of whether Pinnacle will or not. I'm sure there's been plenty of frantic activity going on behind the scenes these last few days but on the face of it we seem no closer to a conclusion today than we were nearly a week ago.

What's the legal position of players contracts if the Club defaults on salary payments? Can the contracts become void in this instance? In which case could they walk away to a new club without SFC receiving an payment? This really would be trouble leaving no assets for Fry to sell to pay off the creditors.

However tomorrow is Friday and there's always hope on a Friday

I remember the year they came here when they went down with what was then the lowest ever points record. As a minimum you'd expect some fight from a Peter Reid team even if there was little quality but they completely surrended, it was woeful.

He certainly comes across as a bumbling buffoon. Who could ever forget the cringeworthy interview in the Bournemouth AFC car park. He's had plenty of chances to get involved with both SFC and Bournemouth and failed gloriously so probably best he disappears back into the shadows pdq.

We should have a league table for the ITKers, you know the ones 'I have been told', 'I understand' blah blah then when all comes out of the wash at the end of today (hopefully!) they can all serve respective bans related to the amount of inaccuracy displayed. Agree with you there, I think Patterson has something about him. As for DMG, there is no doubt the guy has some talent (some of seems to be 'hidden'!) but what seems to be holding him back is his apparent attitude. I really have my doubts he would dig in for us in League 1. Take the money.

Ditto. It's all about having a united board with the same goals and vision.

You never know it just may be. I'm sure we both want the same but sometimes you can take a different journey to get from A to B.
