  1. Well I'm not going to argue with you and certainly we have shared a common thought process on many SFC issues in recent times. Saying that I'm not sure that living in Dubai automatically gives all the answers, I have many friends there and they don't know the detailed ins and outs of SFC and BT but onwards and upwards. I'd be amazed if anyone other than Fry and a few, close associates know the real details behind the last couple of months worth of activities. I know people very close to some of the dealings but none of them know all the facts. But hopefully that's all behind us now and we can look to the future, probably not a time to go Wilde just yet though lol.
  2. I'm not suggesting he is Phil but with all de respect how can you make such a comment. Do you have all the facts? He clearly has one objective and that is to strike the best deal for the creditors, nothing more nothing less.

    Wotte.

Agreed and I would imagine the new owners will want to bring in their own man in any case.
  4. On the face of it and without knowing the facts it seems great news for SFC. Hopefully Fry thinks this is the right partner with the right backing and finances so fingers crossed it works out that way. Let's hope the self-appointed ITKers who have got so much wrong in recent weeks keep a low profile. Onwards and upwards. COYR.
  5. I don't agree with the sentiments but I have to say that I've avoided posting on here for some time. I still look in most days but get increasingly fed-up with the so-called ITKers and blatant story tellers. When there's NEWS there will be news, until then it's fingers crossed time for the right outcome and to the right people..whoever they may be. COYR.
  6. Surely Drew Surman deferred or donated his wages after all he's a local lad and a Saints supporter........
  7. lol, not intended but I guess 'yes'
  8. I think the impact on the timescales is perhaps the most worrying element. History suggests that whilst he may have a decent heart his business brain is not of the same pedigree.
  9. It's a shame that all the wannabe ITKers really aren't that at all. Must be some kind of personality inferiority but makes the time pass
  10. And I'm sure we'll see a fair few of the players and their agents pushing for these moves. Quite ironic when they've clearly failed at that level but that's football for you.
  11. It's either a) or one of the following d). Wotte doesn't know what he's talking about. e). Should have gone to Specsavers
  12. I've not 'whinged' once as you so politely put it. You seemed to struggle with the thrust of the thread and the possible impact on the future of the Club and referenced the legalities of who can and cannot be in a directors box so completely missing the point. Let's leave it at that.
  13. Do you think it's up for debate about their impact on the Club? I give up, the white flag is waving.
  14. And I'm equally sorry that I don't understand your post. It's not about who can and can't be in a Directors box it's more the implications that certain individuals who have had a massively negative impact on the Club may or may not be in attendance and the implications that may or may not have on the future of the Club.
  15. Unfortunately I think this fact goes straight over Jonah's head and hence why he is missing the point completely.....again
  16. Totally agree with the sentiments of this post as do many I imagine who can look at the facts of the matter and not attempt to massage the facts before them. Good post IMO.
  17. Couldn't agree more. I saw most of the early season games and was in the company of some current professionals as well as coaches and they all pointed to him as the stand out player who could go on to better things. Disappointing that his form deserted him and no one seemed to be able to pinpoint why but he didn't look comfortable in the position he was being asked to play. However £5M in the current climate doesn't equate.
  18. Really Yes you're absolutely right of course and as I've said I'm no supporter of Crouch and he has had many cringe-worthy moments both during and since his tenure. However he comes across as a fan first and foremost and for that he has my respect as opposed to many others who have had dividends, share benefits and other financial rewards (IT contracts etc) that have not put some of that money back into the Club when it is really needed. And like many I'd like to see a clean sweep but in the meantime if his funds keep the Club afloat then hats off to him.
  19. Now there's a surprise. Any particular elements? ...and before you come up with a witty retort I'm no Crouch supporter but he clearly has tried to support the Club in a number of ways, including financially, that others in his position have not.
  20. And therein lies the basis of the argument. In fact there can be no argument.
  21. He may well be able to cut it in League 1 although I've seen little to suggest he's the man for the job either in team selection, tactics and particularly the lack of motivation he seems to be able to impart into the team.
  22. I'd share a similar view to that. I haven't heard the interview but he does have a track record of shooting from the hip in a somewhat uncontrolled manner at times. Still, at least he's not going round telling everyone it's not his fault.
  23. It would seem that Wotte has struggled with trying to motivate the team on a weekly basis and now with the rug effectively pulled from underneath them I don't see any reason why he should be able to change that trend.
  24. Massively over-rated by many and a lightweight. Has had a very poor season in a very poor team and hardly put himself in the shop window - well perhaps the Pound Shop I s'pose.
  25. It's such a crying shame for every fan of both SFC and football in general. The greed in the game has made it self-implode and there will be many more after us who fall from grace in the same way. It all goes back to the days of that genius Graham Kelly and selling the rights to Sky. It's also a massive poke in the eye for those who supported RL through thick and thin in their tireless support of the Club. His parting gift to us turns out not to be some phenomenal slight of hand of his business acumen to stave of the inevitable points deduction afterall. I'm sure some will insist he was brilliant in the chair however.
