  1. I've not 'whinged' once as you so politely put it. You seemed to struggle with the thrust of the thread and the possible impact on the future of the Club and referenced the legalities of who can and cannot be in a directors box so completely missing the point. Let's leave it at that.
  2. Do you think it's up for debate about their impact on the Club? I give up, the white flag is waving.
  3. And I'm equally sorry that I don't understand your post. It's not about who can and can't be in a Directors box it's more the implications that certain individuals who have had a massively negative impact on the Club may or may not be in attendance and the implications that may or may not have on the future of the Club.
  4. Unfortunately I think this fact goes straight over Jonah's head and hence why he is missing the point completely.....again
  5. Totally agree with the sentiments of this post as do many I imagine who can look at the facts of the matter and not attempt to massage the facts before them. Good post IMO.
  6. Couldn't agree more. I saw most of the early season games and was in the company of some current professionals as well as coaches and they all pointed to him as the stand out player who could go on to better things. Disappointing that his form deserted him and no one seemed to be able to pinpoint why but he didn't look comfortable in the position he was being asked to play. However £5M in the current climate doesn't equate.
  7. Really Yes you're absolutely right of course and as I've said I'm no supporter of Crouch and he has had many cringe-worthy moments both during and since his tenure. However he comes across as a fan first and foremost and for that he has my respect as opposed to many others who have had dividends, share benefits and other financial rewards (IT contracts etc) that have not put some of that money back into the Club when it is really needed. And like many I'd like to see a clean sweep but in the meantime if his funds keep the Club afloat then hats off to him.
  8. Now there's a surprise. Any particular elements? ...and before you come up with a witty retort I'm no Crouch supporter but he clearly has tried to support the Club in a number of ways, including financially, that others in his position have not.
  9. And therein lies the basis of the argument. In fact there can be no argument.
  10. He may well be able to cut it in League 1 although I've seen little to suggest he's the man for the job either in team selection, tactics and particularly the lack of motivation he seems to be able to impart into the team.
  11. I'd share a similar view to that. I haven't heard the interview but he does have a track record of shooting from the hip in a somewhat uncontrolled manner at times. Still, at least he's not going round telling everyone it's not his fault.
  12. It would seem that Wotte has struggled with trying to motivate the team on a weekly basis and now with the rug effectively pulled from underneath them I don't see any reason why he should be able to change that trend.
  13. Massively over-rated by many and a lightweight. Has had a very poor season in a very poor team and hardly put himself in the shop window - well perhaps the Pound Shop I s'pose.
  14. It's such a crying shame for every fan of both SFC and football in general. The greed in the game has made it self-implode and there will be many more after us who fall from grace in the same way. It all goes back to the days of that genius Graham Kelly and selling the rights to Sky. It's also a massive poke in the eye for those who supported RL through thick and thin in their tireless support of the Club. His parting gift to us turns out not to be some phenomenal slight of hand of his business acumen to stave of the inevitable points deduction afterall. I'm sure some will insist he was brilliant in the chair however.
  15. John you say you are interested in the future but spend the majority of the time trying to defend the indefensible. History has shown that Lowe has made a catalogue of mistakes that have compounded the mistakes that others also made during his absence from the Chair. If shaving a few £10's of K's of the coaching budget has meant relegation do you think this is money well spent because the banks certainly didn't.
  16. Congratulations to NP and Leicester. A club model we should follow next season without any eccentric experiments. Disappointing to see that this thread has also been invaded by the top angler fishing for bites. The thread is to congratulate NP not make petty snidey comments. Start a new one for that if you really feel the need.
  17. It was an away game or did that element go over your head? It was also a very well supported away game. When you have lost any possibility of a structured argument I guess all you have left to blame is the fans eh Sunny D.
  18. What an absolutely horrorific performance....
  19. As you rightly point out Chez it was potentially a completey false economy and if (we will never know of course) it is the difference between CCC status and Lge 1 then it really was a myopic strategy. They could quite easily of found the £200K (if it really needed to be found) somewhere in amongst Pekhart, Pulis, Forecast et al
  20. Sounds positive. Looking on SSN stats I see they show possession as something like 59/41 in favour of Watford.
  21. Mr Fry must be your man I imagine
  22. ...and of course the PLC came in to being many years before the points deduction system was introduced so any benefit that comes is purely by chance and not intentional?
  23. ...I guess the argument is if we go down this year that will be twice
  24. An interesting summary by Samuel and goes to demonstrate that the likely outcome is far from concluded. I have to agree that they are stalling for time in the hope that we'll go down and then they'll be able to close the loop hole for future, similar scenario's.
