  1. I don't think anyone's trying to run him out of the club, the original poster raised a valid question as to why his form has dipped which is patently the case. Just a point for discussion nothing more sinister. He will come good again, he probably has a greater chance than any to make the grade but whether it's confidence, tactics, injuries, socialising, Johnny big time-itis or whatever then at the moment it's not happening for him. A good man-manager should be in a position to spot the cause and help him come out of the other side.
  2. That's exactly how he has come across I agree. Such a shame when he could be using these interviews to benefit the Club rather than massage his own bruised and deflated ego.
  3. UP maybe you could keep the teams that played in blue in the stats but not those in red or white or yellow. Or maybe it was the other way round I'm not sure but some combination (other than those that showed the increase under Crouch of course) will please your debating opponents I'm sure...
  4. Now that IS funny
  5. Sorry, I'm trying to keep track of all the threads running so may have missed what the outcome of the 10:00am Press Conference was? Did it go ahead?
  6. I think post #55 is relevant. But that's not really the point of this thread. Now is not the time for petty point scoring (the team excepted of course!), it's a time to try and unite the fan base and maybe, just maybe the departure of RL and MW can lead to this but whether it's too late only time will tell.
  7. I see they've resigned from both the PLC and the Football Club board.
  8. Does he have any regrets about not letting Sundance Beast join his gang at school?
  9. Absolutely. Orchestrated by that great visionary Graham Kelly. And let's not forget he was forced to resign along with our very own Keith Wiseman.
  10. Mmm, I'm not so sure we've seen the last of the our saviour.
  11. Oh dear, you couldn't make it up.
  12. Cutting costs is an extremely simple task. Cutting costs whilst maintaining an acceptable level of performance both on and off the field is not. We do not appear to have achieved the latter.
  13. Can you imagine the implications of that happening, I would think even the most ardent fans of those two would find that difficult to stomach. Something is up though as you say, the timing is 'intriguing' as will our popularity within the game if we escape the 10 point deduction through something that can only be considered a technicality. You would have to think the Board have taken some very knowledgeable advice on this matter to take the risk they can carry it off.
  14. Strangely that whilst he may not have communicated his thoughts in the most constructive manner much of what he said has turned out to be true much too the disgust of those who opposed his opinions.
  15. If I heard the Radio Solent report correctly they stated that SFC / SLH were in negotiations today with interested investment partners. Quite how accurate this is I do not know. I did hear yesterday from someone who would definitely have an inside track that the 'technicality' for want of a better word of differentiating SFC to SLH was what they are pinning their strategy on. I'm sure they've must have been looking into this for some time and taken advice on it. Obviously if the League don't agree to this differentiation then it's not good. The next 24hrs should reveal a lot.
  16. That's pretty much how I see it PS. It's not a great success ratio to be honest. I know you've got to break a few eggs to make an omelette but our broken eggs are splattered all over the floor. Pulis has to be the most incredulous of the lot and I'm sorry but I find it hard to believe a shrewd business man like RL got suckered into the 'makeweight' theory.
  17. I don't disagree with anything above however you do seem to take criticism of the Club very personally. We all love the Club and hate to see it in it's current state but clearly things are wrong and the forum is as good a place as any to chew the fat over these points. There's no point pretending it's all a garden or roses which I know you don't. Without debate the forum would be left with a couple of matchday threads and that would be it. I just don't see how comments regarding the state of the Club can 'undermine' what the team are trying to achieve unless Wotte comes on here and becomes disheartened at what he reads and goes home and sulks. Sorry I don't think that happens. The team have had very good support this year despite what they have served up in terms of performances. OK, it might not be the numbers but the support in the ground on match days, which is when it matters, has been pretty damned good.
  18. Your increasingly regular use of the phrase 'undermine the club' seems to be a very common one for you and to be honest is becoming a little tiresome. I don't believe any one truly wants to do this and for the life of me cannot see how comments made on a relatively small audienced forum can indeed do this. People are expressing an opinion, that is all, whether you agree with it or not is another matter but it's what the forum is for. Clearly all is not well with our club hence the position we find ourselves in in these troubled times.
  19. The worrying aspect is our recent form, no wins in four games. Wotte started slowly but we had the winning trio streak but results have dropped off since then just as we should be benefitting from him influencing the team with his strategy and tactics and team of his chosing. It's not over yet but every week that slips past without the desperately needed 3 points makes the task seem ever increasingly beyond our grasp.
  20. None of the bottom 4 have had a win in the last four games with Norwich and Barnsley in 5th and 6th from bottom respectively both picking up wins in the last couple of games. When we had our little run of 3 wins on the bounce unfortunately other teams also had good runs but it kept us in touch. We've had a real opportunity in the last four games to make further ground but 3 points out of 12 is killing us. The SSN league table show the recent 6 game period form http://www.skysports.com/football/league/0,19540,11687,00.html
  21. No you're probably right but what is strange is that those who have been the 'worst' have been dropped at some point in time during the season whereas DMG is ever-present. Confusing, no?
  22. Agree entirely. Same posters posting the same - often inflammatory - remarks and a handful of posters crashing virtually every thread with silly sarcastic one-liners that are oh-so-funny. A real shame as in amongst it all there are some good posts and good debates, it's just hard to see the woods for the trees on here nowadays.
  23. and QPR 1 up
  24. 2 points in the last 3 games is not exactly what the plan was although we've at least had the other results go in our favour as opposed to our winning 3 game 'run' when everyone else was winning too. Strangely I think we may be closer to the 4th from bottom position after these last 3 results than after the 3rd of our winning trio.
  25. So we've established that DMG can't really play up front, he's certainly no right-sided midfielder as he has demonstrated and now you seem to be suggesting that he struggles to play the 'in-the-hole' role. Any ideas where else we could shoe-horn him in? He'd better hurry up if he's to score the 20+ goals so many forecast on here....and before anyone get's too excited I'm saying this in jest...not that yesterday's performance was very funny.
