  1. See Bairdylegend they're queing up to challenge you for the right to the throne
  2. ...and as if by magic... Looks like we'll be relying on the 'emergency loan' window like the majority of clubs then.
  3. In recent times it appears Matt Mills is the one it would have been nice to have kept hold of but hey ho life goes on. Most clubs could produce a similar listing of the 'one's that got away'.
  4. Are you laying claim to be the forums latest ITK champ? You have some stiff competition.
  5. He's shorter than Gillett
  6. Or they won't happen at all and most clubs will resort to the 'emergency loan' window over the coming weeks.
  7. There was a statement on the PFC website yesterday Duncan that basically confirmed he (AAA) has taken full control. I think there is more to follow in this comedy however....
  8. Over there. Quite why people rise to SunnyD's little controversial snippets I don't know. As his sole supporter Ponty points out...'if you don't feed the troll he will go away'
  9. Not disputing that at all John, the footballing world went crazy a good few years back but that's another argument altogether. Sky / Graham Kelly are mostly to blame and as we are witnessing right now the whole game is close to imploding as a result.
  10. Whether we like it or not (and I don't particularly) we have to accept it is their job and as a result they are entitled to seek the very best deal in whatever way they can. Just the same as the rest of us in our respective careers I'm afraid.
  11. Isn't this the sort of thread that would normally get locked? :-k
  12. Hardly breaking news, the Club has gone on record as allowing Rasiak to speak with two clubs and hence they must have acceptable bids from two clubs. Back to the bottom of the ITK pile Nick.
  13. We haven't scored in the first 3 minutes of any of the games either, we should concentrate on that. Seriously you can do anything you like with statistics. 'There are lies, damn lies, and statistics' (Disraeli). As mentioned by UM and others let's see how it pans out and give Pardew time to address these issues.
  14. Lol that would look good on a Pompey message board...any volunteers?
  15. It's always worth quoting the Sale of Goods Act 1979 and telling them you are fully aware of your rights under this Act.
  16. Don't you see the irony in this statement... You're right about goals but I don't see the lack of goals argument levelled at any of the other midfielders?
  17. LOL only you could write that JohnB! Whilst one swallow doesn't make a summer let's hope this performance from Lallana will show what he has the potential for and will cut him some slack from his fierce critics.
  18. How about your outburst regarding Daren W's Mother? Or have you forgotten that, I certainly haven't and I'm sure DW hasn't either. Of course it was not under your current pseudonym so I guess that will be your retort. Back to the OP and you make some fair comments, you often do but invariably you revert to type and throw in one of your idiosyncratic 'controversial' statements to see what rises you can get. I had to chuckle when you made your comments regarding terminology that you accuse Pearson of using and then when proved wrong by Wes Tender you resort to ridiculing him for countering your argument. You couldn't make it up you really couldn't.
  19. When we have a 'team' we can have a team photo.
  20. Encouraging comments.
  21. I think you make a number of relevant points there however I'm still struggling with why you continue to fire broadsides at Crouch with accusations that should equally be applied to Lowe and Wilde? As has been said none of them come out of this whole sorry mess with too much to crow about but Crouch certainly dug into his own pocket when asked. Whether that was for personal gain or purely as a supporter we can only but speculate.
  22. AP is on record of saying we have too many players. Unfortunately not only too many but lacking in quality as well. I'm sure we'll be looking to offload those deemed surplus to requirements asap but quite who would take Pulis is a mystery...Pompey maybe?
  23. You seem to have countered your own argument there. I have no problem with short term loan signings if it gives us an immediate impact and a little breathing space to find the right player which may or may not involve money. We've made enough knee-jerk signings in the last few years to last us a lifetime but unfortunately the players rarely last five minutes...figuratively speaking. I agree, ideally we need a pairing at CB than can form a partnership but history tells us this is not an easy task. We have to give AP some time to formulate his plans, put his backroom staffing / scouting structure in place and put together a team of his own making that can play in a style dictated by himself.
  24. Have to agree with you Phil. Also, fortunately it would seem we are in a position where we don't desperately need the money so selling him would not achieve a great deal. With the addition of Dean Hammond and hopefully another then you may see a set-up that gives Lallana a better chance. I'm more worried about the likes of Wotton and Lancashire to be honest but then AP has said these are areas he has identified as requiring additions.
