Enlighten us to what is 'interesting' about the post John. Before you do though take a minute or so to read the few posts after yours and you will see that SOG is really talking twaddle I'm afraid.

Have you considered it could be purely coincidental that in the two examples you quoted it transpired that the 'cheaper' of the players were signed. I think you are missing some basic understanding of transfer conditions if you are thinking the transaction price is the be-all and end-all indicator (even though you state this yourself?). There is huge difference between spending little or no money as certain previous regime's have done as opposed to spending wisely and not being taken for a ride just because we have a few pennies in the bank. It's called astute business practice.

And it doesn't really aid the debate when mods join in with 'brik-brats' as well. He may not be everyone's cup of tea but he's asked two reasonable questions in the opening post that don't deserve the mandatory 'you don't go to games so can't contribute' type statements. The 'I'm better than you' fans had hopefully been a thing of the past but prehaps not. Back to the questions posed then it would seem that Connelly is continuing to struggle with niggling injuries which is why his contract was structured as it was. You can't show 'form' in training. You can show effort, desire, enthusiasm and fitness but not form. Hopefully Barnard will give us the additional fire power we need after being a little light in personnel with the departures of Saga and Paterson.

My apologies if this is already posted here or elsewhere but now Sol Campbell has joined the list of creditors by suing Pompey for £1.7M http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_5873389,00.html

Air France-KLM to start obesity charge
Greenridge replied to Saint in Paradise's topic in The Lounge
At least one major airline in the US already does this - South West I think. It's not unreasonable especially for the people who have paid for a 'whole' seat yet have it encroached on by their well built neighbour! -
Nice touch, fair play to those that helped out

Apart from that he's pretty useful then......

Indeed but did you mean to refer to Pekhart? Did anyone actually see Forecast play to make an assesment either good or bad?
-
Not the first time the OS has tried to be 'funny'.............

They just interviewed Jonathon Pearce (who is heading up the program) on South Today and that's what the man said. He also said Graham Murty will be on every week.
-
Just saw a clip on South Today regarding this. You can guess who handed the letter over can't you...Mr Westwood himself lol! It will be covered in more detail in the Football show at 11:35 on BBC1 tonight.

I have the unfortunate 'pleasure' of taking more than 75 flights a year and have done for the last 8 or so years. I'm a long term member of the Exec Club but over the years everything about BA has deteriorated. I was due to fly out to Phoenix last Saturday but at 8pm on the Friday night they cancelled my flight. This was an operational issue from a knock-on effect of the snow which was understandable but did they call / text / email me? No, of course not. They have all my contact details on record, I get automated emails letting me know when my booking is in place, when the on-line check-in is open and of course all sorts of marketing correspondence. But does the same system notify passengers of something relatively significant like a flight cancellation? Nope. Last year I started migrating my custom elsewhere but to be honest they are all as bad as one another to varying degrees!

We need an 'old head' in midfield who can provide a link to the strikers

Safri.....is he still with that middle-eastern club? -
Jon Otsemobor signed on 6 month contract
Greenridge replied to The Fat Controller's topic in The Saints
6 month contract, no signing-on fee, no lose situation that will give cover for Murty and allow James to spread his magic elsewhere on the pitch. -
We have to trust AP's judgement on this one. We might even be at the stage where we'll be looking to move one or two CB's out now that we have Seaborne, Fonte, Thomas, Jaidi, Perry, Martin and Lancashire. Ollie being the obvious one I imagine. Also nice to see another signing done off the radar on the quiet.

Seems like Younes Kaboul is close to a £5M move to Lyon...

lol naughty. The forecasted 'snow' appears to have arrived in Royal West End in the form of........rain.

...at least the missus will be happy

More often than not it's the conditions of the streets and pavements around the various grounds that causes games to get called off rather than the playing surface itself.

My dentist has been 'threatening' me with this treatment if the two pins holding what is left of one sorry tooth together fail again. Seems you either hear of people have horrific experiences with root canal or no problem at all. Doesn't seem to be an inbetween. I have to say I really don't fancy one of the bad experiences!
