It might seem ‘unprofessional’ but it’s a welcome to the real world experience for your grandson. When he applies for full-time jobs in the future he will find that in the vast majority of cases a company will not reply to applicants they are not interested in.

What’s that got to do with it? You claimed that Stephens should keep his place in the team as he gets us goals which in some way might make up for not being able to do his primary job which is defend. If you’re using that as the justification then it’s not really true is it.

We are so nervous at the back. I've lost count of the amount of eff-ups of simple passes between McCarthy, Stephens and Cedric in particular. This just permeates through the whole team and crowd and leads to more and more mistakes giving simple possession chances to Watford. Dreadful.

I think it's good of Stephens to help us all remember that whatever challenges you are going through in life there is always someone having a more difficult time.

I guess it depends where you are in career terms and whether certain circumstances (club in the sh1t, manager struggling and manager out of work) might just be the scenario for it to happen but, as we both agree, it wouldn’t end well for one or more of the three.

Adkins would be a perfect assistant to Ralph but I can’t see either being happy with that arrangement.
